$C=1-2+2^2-2^3+2^4-....+2^{2022}$

$2C=2-2^2+2^3-2^4+2^5-...+2^{2023}$

$\Rightarrow C+2C=(1-2+2^2-2^3+2^4-....+2^{2022})+(2-2^2+2^3-2^4+2^5-...+2^{2023})$

$\Rightarrow 3C=2^{2023}-1$

$\Rightarrow C=\frac{2^{2023}-1}{3}$
