We got up early in the morning. It was already warm so we got dressed and ran downstairs to eat breakfast .We had prepared our food boxes to take with us . We left the house and had to drive slowly through the town traffic. However in the countryside we drove faster. After an hour we reached the foot of the mountain we were going to climb. We climbed the first part fastly but when we were nearly at the wa .......slowed down as it was diffcult . We tried hard to reach the top and when we did Dad said we had done .

It was Thursday evening .Nick and his mum were in the kitchen.It was hot and Nick (1) ........opened......... the window. Then Mum started to (2)..........cook........ the evening meal. She said, "It 's fish and chips tonight "
Nick said, "mum,I don't fish .Can we have burgers, please ?"
"No ,sorry . Fish is good for you," she said.Nick (3)...........sat........... down to do his homework .Some of it was very difficult and Mum ,came to help him . When she looked round ,the fish wasn't there !A cat was the window with the fish in its (4).........mouth.........When it saw mum ,it jumped down and (5)...climb................to a tree .There was't any more food in the house .Nick and his mum went to a cafe, Nick had a burger and salad and a big(6)..........dish.......He was very happy!

Mum! Dad! Please! said Alison. You're both being very silly. There is no point at all in blaming each other. That's not going to help us find out what time the next train to Budapest is due to leave.
You are quite right, darling. I am sorry, said Sheila. Me too mumbled Matt. Now let's have another look at this timetable. Well it looks like we have definitely missed the last train today. That was the 18.20 we just missed, wasn't it?
I think so said Sheila. I mean it did leave at 18.20. Whether it's actually going to Budapest or not is another question.
Well one thing is not in doubt said Matt. What's that ? asked Sheila and Alison together. This is the worst holiday we've ever been on said Matt. Next year we're going to Agreed said Sheila and Alison.

It was evening when arrived at the gate. We couldn't see the house from the road. There were lots of dark trees and brushes. We walked through the garden. We turned the corner and there it was. It was a very tall house with lots of high windows. The door was huge, old and black. It didn't look a hotel. Maybe we had the wrong address. 1-----D------. It was very quiet
Finally, An old woman came to the door. " Come in", she smiled. We carried our bags into the hall. 2----A----- . To the left was a sitting room, with dark walls, lots of bookshelves, and brown armchairs. To the right was a dining room with big portraits of old-fashioned people on the walls. There was a long table down the middle with big wooden chairs. It looked clean, but everything smelled old. Stacey and I looked at each other. We didn't it at all. 3----E---- . We were really tired.
We work up suddenly. There was a strange noise in the room. "What was that?" I said. " I don't know", said Stacey, scared. I think it came from the cupboard. We waited. 4---C-----. Open the cupboard, she said quietly. But I don't want to. I answered
A. It was very big with a wide staircase in the middle
B. There it was again - a knocking, scratching sound
C. When we opened it we were chocked
D. We rang the doorbell and waited
E. But the woman seemed nice and we needed a bed for just one night
