thanks for your letter. i (just/leave) had just left for school when i saw the postman and he (give) gave it to me. it was really funny. i (read) read it during maths and it (make) made made me laugh. i almost (get) gotin trouble

It all happened rather quickly-the doctors realized that I needed to have my
appendix out immediately, to prevent things from getting any worse, and they on me straight away. But I'm not feeling too bad and I'm getting better all the time. The doctors say it will take about a week for me to get over the operation completely.
I do find it a bit boring here-there's nothing to do. They say I mustn't get up unless it's absolutely necessary, so I can't even get to the TV room.

I hope you are free next Sunday to come to our housewarming party. Our new house is just wonderful! Finally, we have enough rooms for every one. There are three besdrooms: one for Henry and me, one for Paul, and one gor the little baby.
