Elma street primary school from 1979 to 1988, and Roger Holm Secondary school from 1989 to 1992. I (pass). passed.. . my school Certificate Examination that year and (get).got.. grade A in literature, EL, French and Art, and grade B in maths, science, history and geography.
I (work) ..worked.. as a junior clerk at the east west trading company from july 1993 to 1995. In october 1995, I (obtain) ..obtained . a position with new angle film productions as an assistant editor. I (like) .liked.. the work a lot. I (speak) ..spoke.. French and Spanish fairly well and (drive)..drove. a car. I ( be able) . .was able. to get on well with people and I (enjoy).enjoyed. hard work. My hobbies are photography (watch) .watched. TV and (play)...played . the piano. I (attend).attended.. an interview at any time.

Dear sir,
I am writing to apply for the post of film editor, as advertised in this morning's daily sun. I was born on july 12th 1973 and I attended. Elma street primary school from 1979 to 1988, and Roger Holm Secondary school from 1989 to 1992. I passed my school Certificate Examination that year and got grade A in literature, EL, French and Art, and grade B in maths, science, history and geography.
I worked as a junior clerk at the east west trading company from july 1993 to 1995. In october 1995, I obtained a position with new angle film productions as an assistant editor. I like the work a lot. I speak French and Spanish fairly well and drive a car. I was be able to get on well with people and I enjoy hard work. My hobbies are photography watching TV and playing the piano. I attend an interview at any time.

Dear Marry,
How are you? I am writing to tell you about the great film I saw last week at the cinema I went to see Titanic with my sister.
Titanic is a romantic film which was directed by James Cameron. However, it’s also about a disaster. It stars Leonardo Dicaprio and Kate Winslet.
The film is about the sinking of the ship titanic on its first voyage. The main characters are Jack Dawson and Rose Dewitt Bulkater. Jack saves Rose from killing herself during the journey on board the ship although they are from different social classes and Rose is already engaged.They fall in love. The film has sad ending. The titanic sinks and more than a thousand people die in the disaster, including Jack.
Titanic is a very sad film, Nevertheless, many people really love it. Go and see it if you have free time.

2. Despite/ In spite of the traffic jam, they went to the post office.
3. In spite of learning very hard, Tony failed this test.
4.In spite of the low salary, I accepted the job.
5. Although/ Even though/ Though Sonay had not completed this project, he went to sleep.
6. Although Mary had a good salary, she gave up her job.
7. Even though she behaves unkindly, we still love her.
8. Although the room was dirty, Salim didn’t clean it.
9. Despite being hungry, she didn’t eat much.
10. Despite studying hard, they can’t get good marks.
