I was extremely excited as that was the first time I have tried fishing. Three hours of fishing passed by, and we were all happy with our total catch of eight fish. At nearly 5 p.m. we hurriedly gathered things to come back home. For the whole family, the outing was great fun.
English is my favorite subject, and the benefits I get from it is beyond what I thought I could have. First of all, each skill in English gives me a good reflex that I can apply in other subjects as well as my daily life. For example, listening skill makes me become a better listener, and speaking skill helps me to become a better communicator. All of them help me to approach to more sources of information; therefore, I can earn more than just my skills. Third, English is not simply a language, but there are a whole culture and concept behind it. When I first started to learn English, I spent a lot of time doing research about the Western culture and lifestyle. After a certain time, I discovered that there are a lot of useful things to learn from that. It helps me have a more open mind, and I can see the world from other perspective. In conclusion, every language has a bigger meaning than just a communicating tool. By learning English, I do not only know an international language, but I also learn a lot of things beside it.
