In this fast-paced lifestyle, it is almost impossible to take some rest let alone having some free time activities. But one activity which I to do whenever I have some time to spare it to hang out with my friend.

By hanging out with friends, I mean a whole lots of activities such as dining out, having a drink in a bar, smoking and chatting about everything, going to the cybernet cafe, watching a football match, etc. totally depends on our mood. We don’t really plan anything, just go with the flow!

I have two friends who I always hang out with. One of them is my high school friend, the other one is my university friend. We both get along very well from when we first met until now. We are both very busy with work but we always try to make time for each other.

This is my favorite free time activity because It’s a simple, pracal and not an expensive activity to do. Hanging out with my friends, I’m able to discharge all the negative feelings by sharing my stories, making jokes and talking about lots and lots of topics that we can think of about anything in this world. It’s great to have some friends who share a lot in common with me and is willing to support me mentally and financially too!

Hello eveyone,

It's a small restaurant located on Tran Hung Dao street in Ho Chi Minh city. Whenever i eat beef noodle, it always makes me have a special taste. Hanoi capital is famous for beef noodle. What's more, it's also well-known for a lot of delicious foods. For example Omai, frilled rice...
At home, my mother makes beeff noodle very well. She often makes it when my family get toghether. We enjoy the happy time when we have beef noodle at home.

I often have flu. When I have flu, I often feel very tired and miserable. However, I have some ideas to avoid the illness. Firstly, it very good if you eat more vegetables and fruits. It problems many vitamins such as vitamin A, B, C, etc. Secondly, don't drink too much cold water because it is very bad for our health, especially our throats. Finally, it is very important to keep us warm in the winter. It will help us avoid getting flu. My mother often takes care of me when I have cold or flu. She always reminds me that : " You should take the medicines as the doctor gave ". In the future, I hope I will avoid the disease because of the things I do above.

Pho is one of the Vietnam traditional food. It first appeared in Vietnam a long time ago. Pho is made from rice noodles, beef stock, meat such as beef or chicken, and some kind of herbs. First, the beef stock is boiled to make broth. In the boiled, they often add sliced ginger and roasted onions to get that 'pho' smell. Then, rice noodles and beef or chicken are quickly boiled, then put into a bowl with some herbs. Finally, hot broth is poured into the bowl, making a lovely bowl of pho. When we eat Pho, we use chopsks and a spoon. Before we eat the noodles, we should take a sip of hot broth. Then, we can smell the taste of roast ginger and onions. and we can make sure it isn't too hot. In Hanoi, Pho is not expensive. For only 25,000 VND, we can eat a deliciuos bowl of Pho. People sell it from early morning until late at night. So, we can eat Pho at anytime we want to. In Hanoi, Pho is very important because it has a unforgettable taste, so people who come to visit Hanoi need to try it .

I have an unusual hobby: carving eggshells. I started this hobby four years ago after getting a carved egg from my dad when he came back from Japan. It's amazing that something as fragile as an empty eggshell can be made into such a beautiful piece of art. I was so amazed that I learned how to carve them myself from the internet. I find carving eggshells a little difficult but so interesting and useful. The feeling of accomplishment when I finish a piece is absolutely awesome. This hobby also helps me be more patient and careful.

Van Mieu (The Temple of Literature) was constructed in 1070 during Ly Thanh Tong's dynasty. Its original purpose was to honor Confucius. In 1076, the first university of Vietnam called Quoc Tu Giam (The Imperial Academy), was established within this temple by Emperor Ly Nhan Tong. That's the reason why the complex has the name of Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam up to now. Initially, Quoc Tu Giam was the school for princes and children of royal families and then expanded in the following year to admit top students from around the country.

Nowadays, Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam is one of the most famous tourist destinations for both Vietnamese people and foreigners. It's also a place to celebrate doctorates and high ranking scholars of Vietnam. One special thing about this place is that there are 82 Doctors' stone tablets. They are tombstones with names and origins of 1304 doctors placed on the backs of stone tortoises. If you come here at the beginning of the year or in May, when many important examinations take place, you will catch sights of numerous families and students who come and pray for luck.

Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam opens daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the entrance fee for each adult is 30,000 VND.
