Traditional festivals used to be misunderstood in Viet Nam during war time and during the middle of last century. They were accused of wasting time, money and affected the country's production because people thought festivals meant entertainment. Moreover, when traditional festivals went along with religious ritual, they were considered part of feudalism, which needed removing. This resulted in an interruption in the flow of traditional festivals in Viet Nam, making a gap in Vietnamese people's knowledge about the festivals.
Many festivals were inadvertently buried for a long time and have recently been revived. The break in cultural flow caused phenomena threatening the health of the festivals. For example, some festivals lost their typical features, making them the same or similar to others. The monotone nature of festivals could make room for new things, in many cases, the new are not suitable with the old. It's ridiculous to see a beauty contest or play video games in Lim Festival which features "quan ho" (Bac Ninh Province's folk singing.
The most concerning problem now is that festivals are commercialised and distorted. People are secularising festivals, offering different types of services instead of a chance to worship. Many make the festivals an opportunity to make money.
In other cases, festivals became the place for local governments to report their achievements. Professional troupes are hired to perform in traditional festivals, which I think is unusual. Let local people hold the festivals by themselves. Management offices and local governments should focus on orienting, guiding and managing safety and security for the community.
The culture ministry in Viet Nam has planned the inspection and tightening the management and organisation of festivals, especially the traditional ones. Do you think this plan is feasible, given the fact that there are some 7,000 festivals here?
I like living in the countryside because of some reasons. Environmentally speaking, it is a peaceful place. The air is fresh. The space is quiet. We can enjoy healthy natural conditions without
worrying much about environmental pollution.
As for social security, the countryside is a safer place than a city. While urban security situation is always complicated with all kinds of crimes, rural areas are much more secure because most of countrymen are friendly and ready to help one another.
I prefer to live in a city because i think that life in a city is always more exciting and more comfortable than life in a country or in a small town.
First of all, in cities there is usually something to do or somewhere to go. In the city there is a large access to education an there is easier to find good and ineresting job. Moreover there is a good selection of cinemas, galeries, theaters or restaurants, where people can spand their free time. There is always something interesting and it is impossible to be bored.
In the cities, there are a lot of good shops where we can do the shopping easily and quickly. Moreover there are many sports facilities such as swimming pools, gym halls or tennis courts where people can spend their free time and practis their favourite sports.
Young people in cities are in better situation, than young people in village or in a small town, because young city- dwallers can go to clubs, discos, and spend their leisure time. They have also more opportunities to meet someone.
However living in a big city have some disadvantages. Havy traffic is big problem. Fumes emitted into the atmosphere polutte the air and many city-dwallers suffer from serious medical disorders. Moreover there are many car accidents every day and the noise never stops. There are many cars and it is difficult to find a parking place especially in the centre. In addition the crime rate in cities is very high.
Summing up, in spite of all these disadvantages, living in a city is more exciting, interesting and never dull for me.

I think that the best leisure activity for teenagers is playing sports. Firstly, they can find friends who have the same interests. Secondly, physical activities are a good way to relieve stress and reduce depression. Moreover, sports can help develop teamwork and leadership skills that may be very necessary for their future jobs. Their parents should give advice on choosing a suitable leisure activity; however, teenagers themselves will make the final decision.

I love a lot of subjects, but there is the only one subject I the most. It's absolutely English. English helps me a lot. For example, when I go to another countries, I can talk with the foreigns by English, I don't have to worry anything 'bout my language anymore. So, I always spend 2 hours to prace and study this subject at home every evening. And I can learn English at school three time a week, too. The special thing of this subject is there are thousands or may be millions of difficult words I've ever seen before. It makes me feel interesting about English. But it's also very difficult to perform, so to improve your English vocabulary, there's only one way, patient and keep prace memorize the words. Not lucky, it's the best way!
