a: 132+2(x-4)=46

=>2(x-4)=46-132

=>2(x-4)=-86

=>\(x-4=-\dfrac{86}{2}=-43\)

=>x=-43+4=-39

b: \(9x-6^{17}:6^{15}=4x+48:12\)

=>\(9x-6^2=4x+4\)

=>9x-36=4x+4

=>9x-4x=36+4

=>5x=40

=>x=40/5=8
