Các nhà khoa học của chính phủ Hoa Kỳ cho biết tháng 7 năm 2019 là tháng nóng nhất được ghi nhận trên toàn thế giới.

Nhiệt độ trung bình trong tháng 7 cao hơn gần một độ C so với mức trung bình 20,78 độ. Điều đó khiến nó trở thành tháng 7 nóng nhất trên hành tinh của chúng ta trong hơn 140 năm qua, theo Cơ quan Khí quyển và Đại dương Quốc gia Hoa Kỳ, hay NOAA. Tháng 7 năm 2019 cũng là tháng nóng nhất được ghi nhận ở bang phía tây bắc Alaska. Biển băng tan. Cá biển Bering bơi ở nhiệt độ trên bình thường. Trẻ em ở thành phố Nome, Alaska cũng vậy.
