Pho is a traditional dish of Vietnam, can also be considered one of the typical dishes Vietnam cuisine. Pho is the main component of noodles and broth (or broth in a way called the South) with beef or chicken sliced thin. Des Moines is the capital of Iowa. Life here is upbeat but not too busy. Everyone that is born and raised in Iowa is very relaxed and kind. We love to say hi and help one another and we love cars. Generally, traffic is pretty good. We don't have a lot of traffic jams. However, during rush hours, you cannot move an inch on the interstate because everyone is trying to get on and off. This usually creates chaos and a huge traffic jam. In Des Moines, we have all kinds of jobs, from white to blue-collar jobs. Inside downtown, we usually have white-collar jobs. The father away from downtown, the more blue-collar jobs we have. Due to the huge population of immigrants, the city of Des Moines is also very diverse. This diversion births a hub of mulultural foods. Driving down Douglas Ave, you can see different kinds of foods from many cultures, such as Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Italian, Hispanic, American, Indian, Burmese, etc. One day you can have Chinese, the next day Indian. In Iowa, Des Moines is the most diverse and busiest city. It houses many families from many different countries and still able to keep American culture and values.

My mother had a business trip to Da Nang last weekend, and I had a chance to visit this beautiful city with her. She worked for one morning, and the rest of the time she took me outside to visit some famous places. The first spot was the Hoi An ancient town, which was a completely different world from the busy roads out there. I took many pictures with the lanterns, the old corners, and enjoyed some of the very delicious food. In the evening, we took a short trip to Dragon Bridge - a symbol of Da Nang City. Since it was Saturday night, we had chance to witness the Dragon head blowing fire and water. It was such a wonderful view, and I was really impressed by that. Next we went around the city to enjoy the nightlife here, and Da Nang was very different from Ho Chi Minh City. Next morning, we woke up pretty early to go to My Khe beach - which is also known as one of the six most beautiful beaches of the world. The sand was white, the water was crystal clear, and the ranges of coconut made the atmosphere seemed so poe. In the afternoon, we visited the Asian Park - Sun World Da Nang Wonder so I could play some interesting games. In the evening, we went to two other famous bridges - the Han River and the Love bridges. Both of them were so beautiful, and it was a pity that we did not have more time to actually enjoy the view. I left Da Nang in regret that night, and I had to admit that Da Nang was such a worthy city to live.

Cả hai đều rất đẹp, và thật tiếc khi chúng tôi không có nhiều thời gian hơn để thực sự ngắm cảnh. vietnam is famous with its traditional and delicious dishes. All of them easioly bring to anyone's mouth indeed, but as myself, I enjoy spring rolls best. Spring rolls are lightly fried rice - paper rolls, smaller and crispier than Chinese egg rolls but more flavorful. They are filled with highly seasond morsels of crab, shrimp, chopped vegetables, onion, mushroom, vermicelli and eggs. To prepare them, place the above mentioned filling on a thin rice pancake, roll up then fry. Finally, spring rolls, when fully prepared, are wrapped into somes kinds of fresh vegetables, then doused in fish sauce. My mother ussually cooks spring rolls for me, espeicially on important days in year, such as Tet holiday. when I eat them, i feel all of my mother's love that she reserves for me. To me, they're like the most speicial dish in this world.

"Vietnam is the land of heat and noodles". That is what an American friend wrote to me in an email when he said he missed Vietnam. While in English, there may be only some words "noodles", "vermicelli" or "noodle soup", in Vietnamese, we have various names "Phở, Bún, Miến, Bánh đa, Bánh canh, Mỳ" to describe our noodles. The Vietnamese noodles have different colors (white, red, yellow), shape and thickness, depending on the types and regions. Each of the said noodles has one more word next to it, like beef, chicken or other material, or name of a location to emphasize their specialty. For example, Phở gà (noodle soup with chicken), Phở bò (noodle soup with beef), Bún bò Huế (Huế city's beef noodle soup), Mỳ Quảng (Quảng Nam province's noodles) etc.
