My hometown has changed a lot since my childhood. There are less paddy fields. Many buildings have been built up. There are more cars and motorbikes today than bicycles in the past. People turn to work in new factories instead of doing the farming. Neighbors are busier with their work and spend less time chatting with each other. People become richer and dress more fashionable. We have new technologies that make our life easier. As I grow up, I see the nonstop changing of my world, I don't feel sad but hopeful for the coming future.

My home village is now different from the village in my father's story. in his story, my village is very poor.

Everyone live a hard life that time. People lack of food, of money. Now, it is different. People don't live a hard life anymore. They have enough food, enough money, everyone got a house, and many more things. The only things that doesn't change is sentiment. Everyone always be very happy. They live together, help each other when they need, that is a luxury.

That makes my village a wonderful place for everyone. People are just farmer, but they solidarity in the face of penury. And when they have money in their hands, they still solidarity they are friendly with others, they are helpful, they are good people. That's about people.
Landscape is still like the old days. That river, that mountain. Nature is harmony with people. People live with nature, people product things of nature, and nature always open-handed with people, give them resource for them to build their house. That is what people seek, and they live with it very well.

That's all I can say about my home village, in my opinion, my village is a wonderful place. War does not determine who is right, only who is left:" Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country"

My hometown changes so much. The first change is life of local people. They have a better life because they have electricity, TV, hospital, schools nearby the village. The second change is the people There are more people and more houses here. The houses are more modern in brick not by soil anymore. The last change is the place for children to play. There is a park in the village.

I live in a mountainous village. My parents often tell me stories about their life in the past. It’s not much like the village I can see nowadays. Some villagers now live in brick houses instead of earthen ones. Our houses are better equipped with electric fans and TVs. Thanks to the TV, we now know more about life outside our village. We don’t use oil lamps any more. We have electric lights which are much brighter. More villagers are using motorcycles for transport instead of riding a horse or walking. We — village children — no longer have to waik a long way and cross a stream to get to school, which is dangerous in the rainy season. Now there’s a new school nearby. We also have more visitors from the city. They come to experience our way of life.

I think life in the countryside has many advantages. Firstly, people are very friendly. Secondly , the space is very large. We can play, shout or run around without disturbing others. Thirdly, we can go swimming, go fishing interesting things. Moreover, life is peaceful. Then food is very fresh and especially vegetables. Finally , there are a lot of tradition activities that I can join. In short, if I have a chance to live in the country. I think I will be very happy.

Fifty years ago, the tools we rely upon to communicate today were only science fiction. Today, you can purchase a smartphone and make calls, surf the Web, play games, run applications and accomplish more than most speculative fiction authors dared to dream. So what's next?

In the short term, we'll likely see basic cell phones slowly fade away. As smartphones become more common and less expensive, more people will adopt them. The process is gradual. As with most new technologies, a group of enthusiastic adopters lead the way. Sometimes, the general population will follow the early pioneers -- the compact disc is a good example of such technology. In other cases, the early adopters end up owning technology that becomes obsolete without ever finding wide acceptance -- like LaserDiscs.

Smartphones seem to be in the first category. Products like the Apple iPhone and Google's Android operating system have pushed the smartphone out of the world of gadget geeks and into the mass market. In 2010, the first 4G smartphone for a major carrier in the United States made an appearance. It was the HTC EVO 4G, running on Sprint's WiMAX network [source: CNET]. The 4G network allows for faster data transfer speeds than other networks.

The Internet will continue to play an increasing role in communication. Voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) already plays a large role in several communication products and services. Sites like Facebook and Twitter allow users to communicate with networks of people. With the rise of the Web, people now have a platform from which they can address the world. In the past, only celebrities and politicians could address so many people at one time. Now, anyone with an Internet connection can do the same thing.

This may lead to changes in everything from entertainment to politics. Using the Web as a communication tool, people with aspirations may be able to find an audience more easily than ever before. It may not be long until a relatively unknown person uses the Internet to win enough support to be elected president of the United States.

So far we've looked at some fairly mundane advances in communication. But what about the distant future?
