When we accept the evidence of our unaided eyes and describe the Sun as a yellow star, we have summed up the most important single fact about it-at this moment in time.

It appears probable, however, that sunlight will be the color we know for only a negligibly small part of the Sun's history. Stars, like individuals, age and change. As we look out into space, We see around us stars at all stages of evolution. There are faint blood-red dwarfs so cool that their surface temperature is a mere 4,000 degrees Fahrenheit, there are searing ghosts blazing at 100, 000 degrees Fahrenheit and almost too hot to be seen, for the great part of their radiation is in the invisible ultraviolet range. Obviously, the "daylight" produced by any star depends on its temperature; today(and for ages to come) our Sun is at about 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit, and this means that most of the Sun's light is concentrated in the yellow band of the spectrum, falling slowly in intensity toward both the longer and shorter light waves.

That yellow "hump" will shift as the Sun evolves, and the light of day will change accordingly. It is natural to assume that as the Sun grows older, and uses up its hydrogen fuel-which it is now doing at the spanking rate of half a billion tons a second- it will become steadily colder and redder.

1. What is the passage mainly about?

(A) Faint dwarf stars (B) The evolutionary cycle of the Sun

(C) The Sun's fuel problem (D) The dangers of invisible radiation

2. What does the author say is especially important about the Sun at the present time?

(A) It appears yellow (B) It always remains the same

(C) It has a short history (D) It is too cold

3. Why are very hot stars referred to as "ghosts"?

(A) They are short- lived. (B) They are mysterious.

(C) They are frightening. (D) They are nearly invisible.

4. According to the passage as the Sun continues to age, it is likely to become what color?

(A) Yellow (B) Violet (C) Red (D) White

5. In line 15, to which of the following does "it" refer?

(A) yellow "hump" (B) day (C) Sun (D) hydrogen fuel

Help me! Thank you!

Space exploration is much too expensive and the money should be spent on more important things. What is your opinion?

It's often argued that space exploration is too expensive and the money should be spent on more important things. This essay disagrees with that suggestions completely because of the benefits space exploration brings to the people. The essay will first look at how space exploration has effected in our life and then discuss how it would help the human in the future.
First of all, a plethora of technologies we are using nowadays was invented based on space research. The scientists launch the satellite into space. Then they will the information from it to work out new ideas. For example, we can see roads, houses, restaurants, schools,.e.t.c on the Google Map very clearly. It's because the satellites send photos they have taken to the centre on the Earth. This helps me a lot because I often feel arduous while try to find the correct road.
Furthermore, the population of the world is increasing day by day. This is the reason why we should find out a new planet that we can live in. I think this is quite possible and this will affect a lot in our life. For instance, finding a new planet that we can live in can decrease some problems which are caused by high population such as the traffic jam, the pollution and there is not enough food, job and houses for people today.
In recapitulation, space exploration should be improved to make further technologies and solve the serious problem on the Earth that we are facing.

Blood donation: The most valued service to mankind

Millions of people owe their lives to people whom they will never know or meet in their lifetime. They are none other than those people, who have donated their blood freely and without any reward - voluntary blood donors. Voluntary unpaid donors are the foundation of a safe blood supply which saves millions of human beings from the death.

Nothing is comparable to the preciousness of human blood. In spite of the rapid and remarkable conquests of medical science today, there is no laboratory that manufactures blood. It is only in human beings that human blood is made and circulated. For those who require blood for saving their lives, sharing from other people is the only means. Therefore, voluntary donation is the only way of accumulating blood at safe storage to meet emergency requirements for saving lives. Blood is required for treatment of accidental injuries, burns... In times of accidental injuries that shed huge amounts of blood and also in various types of surgical operations for medical treatments, we require blood for transfusion. Unavailability of blood may cost lives. Therefore, importance of blood donation is tremendous. This is the greatest gift one can give to the humans. Voluntary blood donors are saviors of mankind. If someone really loves oneself and other fellow beings, the only way to express it is to donate blood voluntarily.

Blood donation is harmless and safe in the body. Rather, it is a social responsibility. The donor is donating for it as it will be used in saving lives of his fellow beings. He himself may use the same during his own need. So, today's donor may be tomorrow's recipient. Without their humane gifts of noble donors, that also from the heart, many lives might have lost for want of blood. Therefore, the most generous and biggest ever contribution to mankind is blood donation.

Today's donor will able to be tomorrow's recipient.

A. True

B. False

Well! I´m good at Mathematics, Art, exploring or discovering new things… I like English, socializing and Science... I don´t have a special hobby, but in my free time (if this can be considered!!) I like singing, writing lyrics in English, searching for information about many things, taking photos and travelling.

With so many things I like, I think that every job can be “acceptable”, except jobs where the employee has keep himself imprisoned in an office all day long… But the funniest thing is that I’m a little bit lazy and I would like to be a singer ever since I know myself…

But right now I would like to be a doctor! I know that the bad part is that doctors have to keep themselves in an office, but who cares?!… I like helping people very much and I enjoy learning all I can about everything! I only hope that my future job will bring me lots of success!!!

It´s obvious that when we go to a job interview we shouldn´t chew gum, come unprepared, look down onto the floor, put our leg up or play with items on the desk, slap the interviewer on the hand, be late and talk fast or speak in slang. We should answer all the questions clearly and directly, bring an extra copy of our CV and references, continuously keep eye contact with the interviewer, display sense of humor and self-confidence, dress appropriately for the interview, get ourselves a strong knowledge of the company, industry and position, give a firm handshake, know the company that is interviewing us, look attentive and sit properly and upright in your chair.

I am very worried with the unemployment because if right now there is no work for everybody, in the future this will be even worse … I think that part-time jobs are good, because young people can get some work experience… And when people want some extra money this could be heaven, just joking!!!

Maybe later I will look for one part-time and yes if I could, I would already have one (to buy important things). But part-time jobs have advantages and disadvantages, too! When we´re studying part-time jobs can take us precious we need to study and our concentration…
