Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam (kanji: 文廟 - 國子監) is the relic and rich diversity of the city's leading Hanoi, located in the south of Thang Long. Currently, it was the Prime Minister Vietnam put on the list ranked 23 national monuments in particular. Architectural ensemble Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam, including: Lake Van, the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam and garden director and architectural subjects are Literature - a shrine to Confucius and the Temple of Literature - the first university Vietnam. Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam mallet brick walls surrounding, inner space divided into five classes with different architectures. Each class that space is limited by the brick wall with three gates to communicate with each other (including the door between the two parties and two side doors). From outside to inside with the ports respectively: port of Literature, University of China, Dai Thanh and ergonomics. There are four people in my family: my parents, my younger sister and I. My father is a 45-year-old engineer. He spends most of his time in the building sites. That’s why he has a tanned skin. As soon as he comes home, he turns on the television to watch the news, relaxes for a while and then he takes a shower. In case my mother doesn’t cook for the dinner yet, my father is very happy to join hand and help her. Talk about my mother, she is a 40-year-old primary school teacher. In every morning, she is the one who wakes up earliest to prepare the breakfast, clothes and necessary things for my father, me and my sister. After we leave home to work or study, my mother will have a quick breakfast and drive to the primary school. After school, she runs fast to the market, buys some fresh food and backs to home to cook lunch. My father doesn’t come home in the noon so only three of us eat and talk to each other during lunch. However, the lunch is still prepared very scrupulous. In general, my mother is a gentel caring woman and sometimes she is very strict. I have a younger sister who will be 8 years old in the next October. My sister is pretty, docile and hard study. On every weekend, I take her to the park to have fun and we will buy some tasty ice creams. We quite close and sometimes she makes me very angry because of her negligent habit. The last person in my family is me. I am studying in the second year of Business Administration major at Hong Bang University. My schedule is changed frequently and I am also trying to get a scholarship to study abroad in Canada next year so I don’t spend much time to my family. But any time when I am free I try to help my mother in household chorces and take care of my sister. In my family, each person has a different responsibility but we always stand together to enjoy happiness moments, overcome the difficult time and solve the problems. I understand that there is nothing that is more important than my family. I love my parents and my lovely sister so much.

Nói chung, mẹ tôi là một phụ nữ hiền lành đảm đang và đôi khi rất nghiêm khắc. Tôi có một em gái sẽ tròn 8 tuổi vào tháng 11 tới. Nó rất dễ thương, ngoan ngoãn và chăm chỉ học tập. Vào mỗi dịp cuối tuần tôi hay dẫn em đến công viên giải trí và đi ăn những cây kem tươi ngon. Chúng tôi khá thân thiết nhưng đôi khi nó làm tôi phát cáu bởi vì thói quen cẩu thả của mình. Người cuối cùng trong gia đình tôi chính là tôi. Tôi đang học năm thứ hai ngành Quản Trị Kinh Doanh tại đại học Hồng Bàng. Lịch học của tôi thường xuyên thay đổi và tôi đang cố để giành được học bổng du học Canada trong năm tới nên tôi không dành nhiều thời gian cho gia đình. Nhưng bất kì khi nào rảnh tôi luôn phụ mẹ công việc nhà và chăm sóc em gái. Trong gia đình tôi mỗi người đều có một trách nhiệm riêng nhưng chúng tôi luôn sát cánh bên nhau để tận hưởng những giây phút hạnh phúc, vượt qua thời gian khó khăn và cùng giải quyết vấn đề. When it comes to enjoyment, what I find the most interesting is to go traveling to different places and try the local cuisine there. In my journeys, I was strikingly impressed by many kinds of food, one of which is crispy pancake - also known as Banh Xeo. The ingredients to make flour mixture include rice flour, coconut cream, turmeric, onions and salt, mixed with water. The batter is then added into a frying pan brushed with vegetable oil and forms a thin pancake. After about two minutes, the cooker will scatter some pork, shrimps and sprouts on half of the cake then fold it in half to cover the filling and cook for thirty seconds. The dish is often served with traditional sauce made from fish sauce mixed with lemon, garlic and chilli. An interesting feature about Banh Xeo is the way people eat them. The pancake will be cut into two to three pieces and rolled in sheets of rice paper together with some lettuces. The roll is dipped into the prepared sauce, which creates a stunning combination of flavor. In one bite, customers can feel the crispness, a little bit sweetness, fat and freshness of the vegetables and just want to eat more. To sum up, coming to Vietnam, if you want to explore the culinary culture here, Banh Xeo will be an amazing experience that should not be missed.

My hobby I like the most is listening to music. I started listening many kinds of music when I was very little.
Music is something you have everytime whereever you go. For me, music plays an important role. I really need music to concentrate during the time I am doing my homework or any kind of works. Not only that, whenever, whatever i do, the music is always with me. I can say that music is my best buddy. It always keeps me happy and relaxed.
I am very fond of music. When I am free, I often listen to my favorite songs from my phone or an old cassette. Although now you can download the songs easily form the Internet, at weekends, I usually go to music shops to buy good CDs. Of the famous pop singers, I prefer Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Madona and Paul MC Cartney. They have many songs that I think I can relate too. It can be a happy song or a sad song but there is always a way I can relate to it. I guess that is another reason I love to hear music because I can relate to what is going on in my life.
I just love listening to music so much. It’s like my daily hobby and I don’t know what I would do if music didn’t exist.

School is the temple of learning and get trained for the professional and social life. My school was set up in 1990 on the donated land with the help of donated money. My school atmosphere is very pleasant and school environment is very clean and attractive. My school building is located in the centre of the play ground. On one side of the school there is a big garden having small pond. There are many colourful fish and other water animals in this pond. My school is four storey building having classes for nursery to 12th class students.My school has one big library, principal office, head office, clerk office, one science laboratory, one computer lab, one common study room, one big lobby, teacher common room, one big sports ground, separate hostel for girls and boys in the school campus. My school has highly qualified and experienced teachers who teach us in very effective and creative manner. My school has around one thousand students who always rank higher in the competitions held outside the school or inside the school. We all go to school in the proper uniform. We have two types of the uniform, one common uniform and other house uniform.My school timing starts at 7.50 am in the morning and 1.30 pm in the afternoon in the summer season and 8.50 am in the morning and 3.30 pm in the evening in the winter season. We daily go to the library for sometime where we prace reading creative books and newspaper for enhancing our skill and general knowledge.
Van Mieu (The Temple of Literature) was constructed in 1070 during Ly Thanh Tong's dynasty. Its original purpose was to honor Confucius. In 1076, the first university of Vietnam called Quoc Tu Giam (The Imperial Academy), was established within this temple by Emperor Ly Nhan Tong. That's the reason why the complex has the name of Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam up to now. Initially, Quoc Tu Giam was the school for princes and children of royal families and then expanded in the following year to admit top students from around the country.
Nowadays, Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam is one of the most famous tourist destinations for both Vietnamese people and foreigners. It's also a place to celebrate doctorates and high ranking scholars of Vietnam. One special thing about this place is that there are 82 Doctors' stone tablets. They are tombstones with names and origins of 1304 doctors placed on the backs of stone tortoises. If you come here at the beginning of the year or in May, when many important examinations take place, you will catch sights of numerous families and students who come and pray for luck.
Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam opens daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the entrance fee for each adult is 30,000 VND.
