\(2x-2-6x-6-8x-12=16\)
\(2x-6x-8x-\left(2+6+12\right)=16\)
\(x.\left(2-6-8\right)-20=16\)
\(x.\left(-12\right)=16+20\)
\(x.\left(-12\right)=36\)
\(x=36:\left(-12\right)\)
\(x=-3\)
