There are many things to tell about my friends. If I think about friendship, I will think about my best friend firstly. Her name is Hoa, one of my schoolmates and we have known each other since we were 10 years old. Everyone would say she is very pretty if they were to describe how she looks. She has black almond-shaped eyes, a small nose, a small pointed chin, and especially long black hair. She is not very tall but not short either, I think such a Vietnamese girl is very nice. She does not like to dress up so her friends usually see her wearing jeans and a T-shirt or sweater. It seems like she and I used to talk or laugh about everything. She has a wonderful sense of humor but she can also get a little depressed sometimes. She and I are interested in many of the same hobbies. We like going to the movies but there are few movies presented in Yenbai. We used to walk around, try to find a new area of Yenbai to explore. We both like traveling, reading, and training to swim. Whatever we did, it seemed always fun to be with her. We still make time to see each other even when our lives get busy now. Since I was better in math and she was better in English, we could help each other if we got confused about a difficult homework assignment. I hope that our friendship will continue and be just as strong although we graduated from high school.

My best friend in high school is Lan. Lan sits next to me in class, eats with me at break time, and hangs out with me after school. She has long and beautiful hair; my mother always says that I need to pay more attention to my hair so it can be pretty as hers. I am good at English while Lan is excellent in Math, therefore we can help each other every time one of us has trouble in understanding those subjects. Besides our study, Lan is always by my side whenever I feel upset. I tell her everything, and only her can know my true feelings. We have been best friends since our young age, and I will keep this friendship forever.

1. Nguyên tắc thêm "-ing" sau động từ:
Động từ tận cùng bằng "e" bỏ "e" thêm "ing"
love => loving
take => taking
write => writing Động từ tận cùng là "ee" giữ nguyên và thêm "ing"
agree => agreeing
see => seeing Khi động từ tận cùng là một nguyên âm + phụ âm (trừ r,h,w,x,y,) gấp đôi phụ âm và thêm "ing"
stop => stopping
run => running fix => fixing
play => playing
allow => allowed
discover => discovered
Động từ có 2 âm tiết và trọng âm nằm ở âm tiết thứ 2, gấp đôi phụ âm và thêm "ing"
begin => beginning
prefer => preferring Một số trường hợp phải học thuộc lòng

My favorite genre of music is country. I’ve grown up surrounded by country music. My parents usually sang country songs to lull me to sleep when I was a child. To be honest, I don’t know when I started to love country music. When listening to country songs, it feels like I slowly disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the world surrounding me.

I love most songs by Taylor Swift who is one of the most successful country artists of the late 2000s. In the early 2010s, she was considered as a talented singer-songwriter. I remember that the first Taylor Swift’s song that I heard was “You Belong With Me” and I was immediately attracted by her soothing but powered voice. Her music perfectly describes her emotions and many different situations. She might sing about an excruciating breakup, a crazy, insane relationship, the first time she fell in love with a boy, her family or her friends. In short, Taylor Swift’s music takes me on an emotional journey.
