It is a way of forgetting about reality for a few hours. Most people like to watch comedy programmes or game shows, which do not require too much concentration. However, there are also many people who see TV differently. They use it to find out about the outside world, as a source of information. They switch it on when it’s time for the news or when there is a documentary on an interesting subject. Some people even learn history and literature by watching historical dramas or adaptations of novels.
