Đặt $ X = a - b; Y = b - c; Z = c - a \Rightarrow X + Y + Z = 0$

Với X + Y + Z = 0, ta chứng minh được :

Do a, b, c là số hữu tỷ nên $|\dfrac{1}{a - b} + \dfrac{1}{b - c} + \dfrac{1}{c - a}|$ cũng là số hữu tỷ. Ta có điều phải chứng minh.
