Exercise 1: I went to the concert last night with my friends

Dear Oanh,

Thank you very much for your letter which arrived a few days ago. It was lovely to hear from you. I am sorry, I haven’t written for you such along time because I studied hard to pass the final exam. However, I had agreat weekend more than every when I went to live concerts last night with my friends. Now, I am writing to tell you how the wonderful concert is.

It is the beautiful concert I have ever taken part in with many people and the miracle of sound of piano. As you know, my pianist is Yiruma and in last concert I couldn’t believe that he appeared in my eyes and gave me a big hug after his performance. I also listen a soothing music which is played by him and other professional musicians. Only when I heard his song from the stage I feel anythings around me seem to disappear and I can fly with many stars on the sky to forget all my fears which I suffered before.

That is amazing.

Let’s come back to my live concert. It is so cool and until now I can’t forget my feeling about it. Do you often to go live concerts? What kind of music do you like listening to? Who is your favourite singer?

I am glad if you tell me about it in the next letter

Exercise 2: We had dinner at a new restaurant yesterday

Dear Oanh,

Thank you very much for your letter which arrived a few days ago. It was lovely to hear from you.

I think the restaurant which you told me in the letter is very interesting. I also like to eat out and I usually go to a restaurant for dinner with my family tiwce a month. Our favourite restaurant is a traditional restaurant in Hang Bong street. It is not big but it is always busy. There are only afew tables in the restaurant and on each table is a vase with lovely flowers. There are plants in the room corners. I usually order the traditional dishes and eat them with rice. For example, fish cooked with sauce, spring roll,…and vegetable and so on. The food is deliciuous so we enjoy it very much. The service is also quick and frienfdly . My family always have pleasant evening at our favourite restaurant.

Shall we go there when you come to visit my family next time?

Thank you for our class’ photo you sent me afew days ago. I was so glad to write for you and tell you about my feeling after I receive it.

That photograph made me remember my old teacher who taught us high school. She is slim with along hair and blue eyes. Do you remember her? Our enghlish teacher, her name is Sara. I can’t forget that days when she played game with us in each class and we sang ‘ Anilmal song’ together. I also remember that She was very sad when our class didn’t do homework and we felt so guilty with her. Then we studied Enghlish hard to fix our mistakes and she was so happy. But now she doesn’t still teach Enghlish in Viet Nam. Ha - our classmates said she came back England with her husband. I hope she would come to Viet nam, I will meet her because I miss her so much. I am sure you enjoy bathing in the sunshine and swimming in freshwater and surfing. If you like, I can help you book a tour for you to know mre about other interesting places in Nha trang such as temples, pogodas,...Nha trang is also famous for saefood. However, I had agreat weekend more than every when I went to live concerts last night with my friends. Now, I am writing to tell you how the wonderful concert is.

It is the beautiful concert I have ever taken part in with many people and the miracle of sound of piano. As you know, my pianist is Yiruma and in last concert I couldn’t believe that he appeared in my eyes and gave me a big hug after his performance. I also listen a soothing music which is played by him and other professional musicians. Only when I heard his song from the stage I feel anythings around me seem to disappear and I can fly with many stars on the sky to forget all my fears which I suffered before.

That is amazing.

Let’s come back to my live concert. It is so cool and until now I can’t forget my feeling about it. Do you often to go live concerts? What kind of music do you like listening to? Who is your favourite singer?

Exercise 2: We had dinner at a new restaurant yesterday

Dear Oanh,

Thank you very much for your letter which arrived a few days ago. It was lovely to hear from you.

I think the restaurant which you told me in the letter is very interesting. I also like to eat out and I usually go to a restaurant for dinner with my family tiwce a month. Our favourite restaurant is a traditional restaurant in Hang Bong street. It is not big but it is always busy. There are only afew tables in the restaurant and on each table is a vase with lovely flowers. There are plants in the room corners. I usually order the traditional dishes and eat them with rice. For example, fish cooked with sauce, spring roll,…and vegetable and so on. The food is deliciuous so we enjoy it very much. The service is also quick and frienfdly . My family always have pleasant evening at our favourite restaurant.

Shall we go there when you come to visit my family next time?

Cảm ơn bạn rất nhiều vì lá thư của bạn đã đến một vài ngày trước. Thật đáng yêu khi nghe từ bạn. Tôi xin lỗi, tôi đã viết cho bạn như vậy trong suốt thời gian qua vì tôi đã học tập chăm chỉ để vượt qua kỳ thi cuối cùng. Tuy nhiên, tôi đã có những ngày cuối tuần sôi động hơn mọi khi tôi đến buổi hòa nhạc trực tiếp tối qua với bạn bè. Bây giờ, tôi đang viết để cho bạn biết buổi hòa nhạc tuyệt vời như thế nào.

Đó là buổi hòa nhạc tuyệt vời mà tôi từng tham gia với nhiều người và sự kỳ diệu của âm thanh piano. Như bạn đã biết, nghệ sĩ piano của tôi là Yiruma và trong buổi hòa nhạc cuối cùng, tôi không thể tin rằng anh ấy xuất hiện trong mắt tôi và ôm tôi rất nhiều sau màn trình diễn của anh ấy. Tôi cũng nghe một bản nhạc êm dịu được chơi bởi anh ấy và các nhạc sĩ chuyên nghiệp khác. Chỉ khi tôi nghe bài hát của anh ấy từ sân khấu, tôi cảm thấy mọi thứ xung quanh mình dường như biến mất và tôi có thể bay với nhiều ngôi sao trên bầu trời để quên đi tất cả những nỗi sợ hãi mà tôi phải chịu đựng trước đây.

Thật là tuyệt vời.

Hãy để trở lại buổi hòa nhạc trực tiếp của tôi. Nó thật tuyệt và đến tận bây giờ tôi mới có thể quên cảm giác của mình về nó. Bạn có thường xuyên đi đến buổi hòa nhạc trực tiếp? Bạn thích nghe loại nhạc nào? Ai là ca sĩ yêu thích của bạn?

2. Chúng tôi đã ăn tối tại một nhà hàng mới ngày hôm qua

Kính gửi,

Cảm ơn bạn rất nhiều vì lá thư của bạn đã đến một vài ngày trước. Thật đáng yêu khi nghe từ bạn.

Tôi nghĩ rằng nhà hàng mà bạn nói với tôi trong thư rất thú vị. Tôi cũng thích đi ăn ngoài và tôi thường đến nhà hàng ăn tối với gia đình tôi một tháng. Nhà hàng yêu thích của chúng tôi là một nhà hàng truyền thống ở phố Hàng Bông. Nó không lớn nhưng luôn bận rộn. Chỉ có một bàn trong nhà hàng và trên mỗi bàn là một bình hoa với những bông hoa xinh xắn. Có cây trong góc phòng. Tôi thường gọi các món ăn truyền thống và ăn với cơm. Ví dụ, cá nấu với nước sốt, chả giò, cuốn và rau và vân vân. Thức ăn rất ngon nên chúng tôi rất thích nó. Dịch vụ này cũng nhanh chóng và frienfdly. Gia đình tôi luôn có buổi tối vui vẻ tại nhà hàng yêu thích của chúng tôi.

I live in a house near the sea. It is (21) an old house, about 100 years old and (22) It’s very small. There are two bedrooms upstairs (23) but no bathroom. The bathroom is downstairs (24) next to the kitchen and there is a living room where there is a lovely old fireplace. There is a garden (25) in front of the house. The garden (26) goes down to the beach and in spring and summer (27) there are flowers everywhere. I live alone (28) with my dog, Rack, but we have a lot of visitors. My city friends often stay with (29) me. I love my house for (30) many reasons: the garden, the flowers in summer, the fire in winter, but the best thing is the view from my bedroom window.
