This essay will discuss about the merits and demerits of distant learning.
Studying an online course provides a flexible timing and less budgeted learning for students. They are able to learn their desire course and subjects on their suitable time. This gives a great opportunity for learners to gain new skills and strengthen their knowledge level staying in their own place. In the online class system students have the chance to study from the comfort of their home. Students can take classes at the time when they prefer as most of the classes are recorded. Online classes system of learning helps participants to learn whenever they want to learn, leaving them the freedom to choose the time for study. Many schools, institutions and universities are providing online classes free of cost. Thus online classes are helpful for those students who earlier could not pay fees. Now they are accessing these online classes online for free. Among the advantages of online classes system of learning there are the responsibility and self-discipline of students in online class systems.

I strongly support the use of personal electronic devices in learning because we can’t miss its definite advantages.First of all, they can be used for both research and study purpose. Students can access Internet to download data and store information and textbooks, which save amounts of money for paper books and time. This also means their backpacks are lighter but contain bigger data.Secondly, modern technology tools improve their study results because of a wide variey of useful learning applications on smartphones, laptop, tablets and other media players such as dictionary, spelling, translation, pronunciation and other apps. These apps are not boring but exciting them with colorful designed-courses, funny methods and attractive contents. Furthermore, students can study any time, anywhere as long as their devices are connected to Internet. Last but not least, smartphones help students communicate with each other or relax by listening to music and playing games when they are bored or tired of studying. All types of entertainment are now combined in a small portable equipment, which is convenient for the owners to relax anywhere. In conclusion, personal electronic devices bring more benefits than harm to students. I suggest that teachers allow and encourage the use of these devices in learning both inside and outside of class.

I think that online learning has so many disadvantages. To begin with, online learning is more difficult to concentrate on the lesson than classroom classroom learning as there are so many distraction from other things like phones or family member. Additionally, there will be no real interaction between the teacher and the students. And the teachers can easily get depressed because they are the only one who is speaking and hardly receive any responses from the students. Moreover, spending too much time looking at the screen during online classes can be harmful to your eyes. This can lead to short-sightedness, and you have to wear glasses. Finally, the cost of money for preparing equipment for online classes are great.
