hello, my name is Huong. I was in grade 8a Chuong Duong Junior High School in Hanoi. My hobbies are reading Conan, Shin and Doraemon. I also reading novels and some text books such as: give me a ket to go to childhood; I see yellow flowers on the green grass of the sun and my favorite book is the totto-chan - the little girl by the window.My favorite subject is literature and art. I love to play sports and often play badminton, kick, ... my best friend is loan, Trang, Huong giang, ...I very much appreciate them.

"Learning for each person is very important and so am I. I feel learning extends knowledge to people. During this summer, I spend most of my time studying. Every day I study mainly 4 subjects: math, literature, English and chemistry. Maths taught me about in-depth computing, opening a new level of knowledge in this area. Learning literature gives me an enjoyable life experience both in the country and in the world, allowing me to explore from the past, present to the future. Learning English helps me become good at communicating and dealing with foreigners. Learning chemistry, it tells me scientifically, tells me more about strange phenomena. Tet, also known as the Lunar new year festival, is the biggest traditional festival in Viet Nam. Tet is usually from the end of January to early February. Before Tet, the Vietnamese prepare many things for the three main days. They clean their house and decorate with flowers such as a kumquat tree or peach blossom. A huge amount of food will be bought before Tet for making traditional dishes. Banh Chung, Banh Tet, Gio cha, Xoi and Mut, …and candies are the foods that must be eaten on Tet holidays. During Tet, people visit their relatives’ homes and give wishes.
However, the Vietnamese believe that the first visitor a family receives in the year determines their fortune for the entire year, people never enter any house on the first day without being invited first. Another custom is giving lucky money, which is put into a red envelope as a symbol of luck and wish for a new age. Traditionally, elders will give lucky money to children and the oldest people in the family. However, nowadays, people can give it to anyone including friends, parents, neighbors,… Besides, Vietnamese usually go to pagodas or temples to pray for health, wealth, success,… To Vietnamese, Tet is the happiest time of all year round, members in a family can gather together, which is a meaningful message of the Lunar New year festival. All in all, Tet is all about going back to origins, being good to others, enjoying the precious moment, and wishing for the best to come.

Hello, my name is Phuong. I am 13 years old. I live with my family in Vinh city, Nghe An province, Vietnam. In my country, spring is the best season of the year because it has Tet holiday. In Tet holiday, the streets are very beautiful with green trees, flowers, and funny noisy. In every house, there are a big tree with many love flowers and plants. Any things else? Yes, there are a lot of delicous drinks, cakes and candies. In Tet holiday, children have money from adults. It's so greet. We enjoy a happy Tet holiday every years. Tet is a traditional holiday of our country Vietnam. The season of Tet occurs around the biginning of February and end of Janaurỵ The meaning of Tet is ending old year and welcome a new year. Tet holiday is very special for Vietnamese families to reunite. At that time, all family members try to come back their homes and get together to prepare for Tet. Moreover they will buy new clothes and clean their house. A branch of Mai flower or a Kumquat tree can't be absent from every home. They bring a fresh atmosphere to the house. We decorate ancestral altar with a tray full of fruits and flowers. Some typical Tet's food such as sweets, coconut jam, candied fruits, lemon seeds, rice cake , "thit kho"( stew pork with eggs). A special food can not absent is sky rice cake.. It is our country's traditional food on Tet holiday. Tet meal is more dilicious than our every day. On Tet holiday, people have many typical activities. Young persons takes part in the traditional games such as: tug; cooking rice, cock fighting, watching lion dance. Many people visit relatives to wish a happy new year. A dults will give lucky money for children. Woman going to pagoda to wish good things will come to their familỵ
In my oppinion, i cozy and fresh Tets atmosphere. All member of family talk together about a happy new year. I can hang out with my friend and don't worry about any thịng " Tet" holiday is always in Vietnamese's heart.

My grandmother is 90 this year, and her age makes her become pretty weak. There are countless wrinkles on her face, but we can still see that she used to be a very beautiful girl when she was young. She has curly grey hair which my mother decided to cut short. Her eyes are blurred by time, but there is still a light in them whenever she smiles. Every morning, she will spend about 10 minutes to walk around the yard as a light exercise, and then she will drink a hot cup of milk. She has to follow a strict diet because she has problem with her liver, so she cannot eat the same food as other people. Besides, she needs to take some pills in the morning and evening to maintain her health, and I feel really sad when she needs more and more pills. Despite her age, she is still a delightful lady who is full of love, and of course I love her very much.

Bà tôi phải tuân theo một chế độ ăn uống nghiêm ngặt bởi vì bà ấy có vấn đề với gan của mình, vì vậy bà không thể ăn cùng thức ăn như những người khác. Bên cạnh đó, bà cần phải uống một ít thuốc vào buổi sáng và buổi tối để duy trì sức khỏe của mình, và tôi cảm thấy rất buồn khi càng lúc bà lại càng cần nhiều thuốc hơn. Mặc dù tuổi tác đã cao, bà ấy vẫn là một người phụ nữ thú vị luôn tràn đầy tình yêu, và tất nhiên tôi yêu bà tôi rất nhiều.

Dear diary,
Today is Tuesday, and it is also a special day for me. This morning I started everything with a delicious breakfast from my mother. She cooked me noodle with pork, egg, and vegetables. I went to school with my best friend Trinh, and we just had enough time to talk about our favorite TV show last night. I had a Math test today, so I was a little bit worried when the class started. It turned out that I was able to do well on the test, and I felt so proud about myself for the rest of the day. In the afternoon, I came to Trinh’s house to have lunch with her because her parents rarely came home in the middle of the day. We made a perfect meal from the ingredients that her mother had bought in the morning. We took a quick nap before having some other classes at school. We had a Physical Education class; today we learn how to have a badminton match. Trinh and I were a team; and although our team failed totally, we had a great time playing outside with other friends. I thought everything was just being ordinary as usual, but I had no idea there was a big surprise that was waiting for me at home. When I first stepped into my house, I saw the entire family gathering around a box in the corner. It turned out that my father had brought home a puppy, and it was the most beautiful creature to me. After finished all of my homework, I ended the day with a cup of hot milk. Now the puppy is sleeping right next to me, and I have to turn off the light so she can sleep peacefully. Today is such a happy day.

Hóa ra tôi cũng có khả năng để làm tốt bài kiểm tra, và tôi cảm thấy thật tự hào về bản thân mình cho đến hết ngày hôm đó. Vào buổi trưa, tôi đến nhà của Trinh để cùng ăn trưa vì bố mẹ bạn ấy hiếm khi nào về nhà vào lúc giữa ngày. Chúng tôi đã nấu một bữa ăn hoàn hảo từ những nguyên liệu mà mẹ bạn ấy đã mua sẵn vào buổi sáng. Chúng tôi ngủ một giấc ngắn trước khi bắt đầu thêm một vài tiết học khác ở trường. Chúng tôi có tiết học Giáo dục Thể chất, và hôm nay chúng tôi được học về làm thế nào để thi đấu môn cầu lông. Trinh và tôi là một đôi, và mặc dù đội của chúng tôi thua hoàn toàn, chúng tôi cũng đã có một khoảng thời gian tuyệt vời được vui chơi ngoài trời cùng các bạn. Tôi cứ nghĩ mọi việc vẫn sẽ bình thường như mọi ngày, nhưng tôi không hề hay biết có một điều bất ngờ đang đợi tôi ở nhà. Khi tôi vừa bước vào nhà, tôi thấy cả nhà đang tụ tập xung quanh một chiếc hộp ở góc phòng. Hóa ra bố của tôi đã mang về nhà một chú cún con, và đối với tôi nó là một sinh vật đẹp đẽ nhất. Sau khi hoàn thành tất cả bài tập về nhà, tôi kết thúc một ngày bằng ly sữa nóng. Bây giờ chú cún đang ngủ ngay bên cạnh tôi, và tôi phải tắt đèn để nó được ngủ bình yên. Hôm nay đúng là một ngày hạnh phúc.
