DIFFICULT NEIGHBOURS
We have a serious problem with our neighbours. They (44) _____________ be very nice people and have lots of friends but personally, I (45) _____________ see how anyone could possibly like them. OK, you don't (46) _____________ to be best friends with the people who live next door, but there (47) _____________ to be a certain level of politeness. After all, we all (48) _____________ to live happily. But they don't seem to care. They are really rude, they play loud music all night so that we (49) _____________ sleep, and their children are bullies and their dog is just as bad, barking and glowing all the time. To make things worse, their front garden is full of rubbish and bits of old cars. How (50) _____________ anyone live like that? I really don't know. The wife never smiles or even talks and the husband is always shouting at her and the kids. They (51) _____________ be very unhappy. We (52) _____________ really do something about the situation, but you can't work things out with people who are not even (53) _____________ to have a conversation without raising their voices. Maybe they'll move one day, or maybe we'll go ourselves.
