Later settler from other countries also contributed songs. Beginning in the 1930s , Woody Guthrie gained great popularity by adapting melodies and lyrics and supplying new ones as well. Smartphones have spread beyond the boardroom and keeping a close eye on what's new is Mike Lazaridis, chief executive of RIM, the company that makes the BlackBerry smartphone.
