1) He (be)was also hungry because he (have) had had nothing to eat since breakfast.
2) His wife usually (bring) brings him sandwiches at lunch time, but today for some reason she (not come) didn't come.
3) He (keep)kept looking at her, wondering where he (see)had seen her before.
4) I (look) looked out before I (go)went to bed and (see)saw a man standing on the opposite pavement watching the house.
