Hoa phượng được lũ học sinh chúng em gọi bằng cái tên thân thương- hoa học trò. Hoa phượng cùng năm tháng chứng kiến những lớp học sinh càng ngày càng trưởng thành, chia tay những học trò cũ, đón những lứa học sinh mới đến với bến đò tri thức. Phượng chứng kiến những kỉ niệm buồn vui của học trò. Đứng nơi sân trường, ngẩng đầu nhìn những bông hoa phượng đầu tiên xuất hiện, lòng em lại nôn nao bao cảm xúc. Hoa phượng là báo hiệu cho mùa thi, là bắt đầu cho những ngày hè được nghỉ ngơi, vui chơi thỏa thích. Thế nhưng mùa hoa phượng nở cũng là mùa chia tay. Đó là lúc chúng em phải xa thầy cô, xa bạn bè, xa mái trường thân thương, chuẩn bị bước vào một chặng đường mới, một môi trường mới. Những người lính cầm cây súng ra với biển khơi với quyết tâm và sự can trường. Bởi vì các anh không chỉ bảo vệ vùng biển mà còn mang trách nhiệm xây dựng cho hòn đảo của Tổ quốc được yên bình, ấm no.
