The more society is developed the more means of communication are required. Among means of communication, newspaper and magazines play an important role in our lives. Firstly, newspapers and magazines supply us with a variety of news every day. They keep us informed of the political situation of the world. By reading newspapers and magazines we can know what is happening in our country as well as in the world at large. Secondly, newspaper and magazines contribute a great deal to the development of our knowledge. Through valuable and subtle critical and commentary articles on culture, social civilization, new life style we learn a lot of interesting things. Thanks to newspapers and magazines, our mind and point of view are consolidated and enriched. When reading them we can train our reasoning power. Thirdly, through newspapers and magazines reading, we can find out what we need to know: a job in the situations vacant column, an object we want to buy in the advertising page, a missing relative in the finding missing relative column and condolence news in the agony column. Fourthly, the Police Newspapers and Magazines help us take precautious against social evils such as theft, murder, robbery, rape, gambling and smuggling. Fifthly, we can improve our English language by reading newspapers and magazines written in English. This enables us to broaden our knowledge of English in every aspect. In conclusion, well-grounded and best-selling newspapers and magazines are worth reading. They are the mouthpiece of the nation and the unseen advisers of the common people.

As the name suggests newspapers are a source of news and information. In several respects they are also a medium of communication among the peoples of the world. Today there are hundreds of newspapers all over the world. Everywhere there is a keen desire to learn more and more about the affairs of the world. This is partly the result of the spread of education which sharpens one’s curiosity to learn about distant lands. As a source of news, the newspaper is almost indispensable to those whose thirst for knowledge is insatiable. They contain news on events in distant corners of the earth. Information about such events arrives almost immediately. As a result, people everywhere are informed about the most important event in the world very quickly and almost at the same time. For example, if a war breaks out in one part of the world today, the people in the other parts will certainly come to know about it tomorrow. As a result, all the countries of the world are able to do something quickly to help those who have suffered because of the war or to persuade the countries at war to cease fighting. Newspaper also play an important part in keeping the people of the world informed about the troubles that might arise in the future, if nothing is done to prevent them from happening. For example, if a dispute arises between the two countries for any reason, the newspapers can keep the people of the world informed about what might happen if nothing is done to persuade the two countries to resolve their differences peacefully. In this way many wars have been avoided because of the intervention of some countries in the disputes of many countries which were given prominence in newspapers. When all this is considered, we feel that there is some silent communication among countries through the medium of newspapers for the common benefit of the countries of the world. Further, constant reading of newspapers improves one’s outlook on life and makes one a more reasonable person. The importance of the newspaper is therefore obvious.

The newspaper, today, plays a vital role in human affairs. Its importance has not been diminished by the appearance of the radio or the television. Men no longer have travel to get information. The newspaper has become the main source of information. The newspaper has become the main source of information about local and foreign affairs. Though the radio and television convey important news and messages quicker than the newspaper, they seldom give the details of an incident. The newspaper, on the other hand, gives not only more detail about a particular incident but it also contains more new items. This is greatly important today when political changes occur with rapidity unknown before. Besides, the newspaper is easier to carry and it could be read at any time during the day. Further, the permanence of the printed word helps one to refresh one’s memory of certain facts and incidents reported in the past.
The importance of newspaper has been increased greatly by the spread of education. Education sharpens one’s curiosity about events in distant lands and also makes one conscious of the necessity to maintain one’s reading habits. In both respects the newspaper appeals most, especially if one finds little time to read books.
The newspaper should, however, be read with caution, for its capacity to do harm is great. Most people believe everything that is reported by the newspaper. As a result, the newspaper exerts a profound influence on the minds of reader. Therefore, when some news is reported wrongly either by mistake or design, it may cause a lot of harm. One the other hand, if the policy of the newspaper is to promote the welfare of the people, it could do a lot of good. For example, it could exercise its influence to persuade the government of a country to do many things for the benefit of the people. In a country like Malaysia, where there are many races of people, the newspaper could also use its influence to promote good-will and harmony among the people. It is therefore important to know the policy of the newspaper that one reads.
In general, however, the newspaper tries to report as accurately as possible, for there are various magazines and periodicals competing with the newspaper to provide accurate information on world developments, and it is the newspaper that links us with the outside world.

It was rumored that her wedding party cost half of her parents’ fortune. As for me, I have a quite different conception of wedding. I prefer to have a very simple and quiet wedding party rather than an ostentatious and expensive one. Before my wedding, I myself will decorate the living-room in accordance with my taste. In my wedding ceremony, I will wear a traditional dress which represents chastity and purity. Only few friends and relatives will be invited to my simple wedding party. There will be no rock music and no other kinds of festivals. In summary, I conceive that the happiness of a newly-married couple cannot be found in an ostentatious and expensive wedding which only ruins their health and their parent’s fortune.

It is often said: “Tell me what you are reading and I will tell you who you are”. For me, a good book is always a good teacher guiding me through life as well as a true companion encouraging me and consulting me in my desperate straits. In fact, interesting books are a source of invaluable knowledge to those who want to master everything they haven’t known before. Through masterpieces all over the world we can realize the whole outstanding culture and civilization of mankind in every aspect: literature, science, sociology, anthropology, technology and economics. Nobody denies the important role of good books in developing man’s knowledge. The more we read valuable books the more we become wise and experienced. By reading books, we can get rid of all prejudices and narrow-mindedness. We can no longer live in The Ivory Tower like a recluse and therefore we can get along with other people around us easily. Next, good books are true companions who always share our joys and sorrows in our daily activities. Are you in low spirits and disappointed in your affairs? Read wise advice through books by profound scholars and authors. Are you sad? Read subtle humorous stories of well-known humorists in the world. All your sorrows and disappointments will vanish at once. In summary, good books help us train our personality. They help us distinguish the Good from the Bad and they lead us to the True, the Good and the Beautiful.

We can write off is not known how much the paper to talk about the harmful effects of tobacco. Each year, the world has 5 million people die of tobacco, more than the number of deaths due to accidents, with tuberculosis and AIDS combined. Without preventive measures, after 25 years, this figure will be 10 million cases; 2/3 of which are developing countries. Cigarettes are made up of what the harm it?
In fact smoking is a habit of the poor. The poor are most prone to smoking and who are less likely to buy drug money most. The money that people used to buy cigarettes instead of buying things necessary for life is a serious threat to your assets and your family. Spend money on tobacco instead of the other basic necessities of life such as food, household appliances ... And many other adversities are not countless.
Given these facts, we - who have smokers and those who have not need to do anything? Firstly, for those who do not smoke, do not smoke and please encourage your friends not to use tobacco! Pressure may also be a positive side! Then you can encourage their relatives and friends to quit smoking and to assist them in this process.
As for those who were addicted to smoking, must find the reason why I smoke, and for looking at how to rid yourself. And most importantly, we must resolve to quit smoking: quit smoking before, we really have to decide what they want, not just family, his friends want gi.Hay planned for the future, given their goals and planning to implementation and focus on the goals that smoking can appear in the process of implementing objectives. Smoking cigarettes is really an expensive habit. The average price per pack of cigarettes, for example, is just about one dollar, people who smoke two packs of cigarettes a day therefore spend $2 per day on their habit. At the end of one year these smokers incur a debt. Since cigarette smoking has an offensive odor that permeates clothing stuffed furniture and carpets, smokers often find that they must have these items cleaned more frequently than nonsmokers do. Further more, a smoker would pay a large sum of money for some diseases coming from smoking. Although it is difficult to sum the cost of these additional expenses, we can say that the expenses do contribute to making smoking become an expensive habit

The person who is a human resources manager is Mary Brown. She has, in her opinion, a very good job in a big company. Right now she is in a class, teaching her students. The students are not children but adults. They are learning how to administrate workers, how to talk with them and even how to help them to work effectively. In other words her students are managers. The managers are discussing problems and ways to solve them in order to meet the workers’ questions. In her class, she always illustrates what she teaches by giving a lot of practical situations in her lecture. She clearly knows that workers are people. It is undoubted that happy people work better and are more productive than unhappy ones. Her job as well as her responsibility is to keep both the workers and the managers always in good mood. She motivates and encourages the workers. She is doing a good job and earns good money. Her company gets twenty percent more profit now than it got before. Mary Brown is now in her office, sitting at her desk. Many job applications from people who desire to work for her company as workers are lying on the desk. She receives letters from workers and managers everyday. Now it is 5pm. It is the end of a working day. She is tired and she is going to go home. It is going to be dark outside some more minutes later. A worker is saying good night to her, she is wishing the same to him. Despite the tiredness, she is smiling since she knows that the worker is happy and her day ends in such a good way.

I am usually in habit of reading books. Addition to books that offer me much useful information,I also like comic book. I am in fond of it for some following reasons. To begin with, Comic books bring me a great deal of relaxation. One of them is Doremon story, which tells many funny short stories about 2 main characters, Doremon and Nobita,Who are close friends. The author of that comic creats so many amusing situations among characters that I can"t help laughing. It"s actually a hard-to-put-down book. It attracts not only children but also adults as me. Another good point of it I want to mention about is creative imagination. I mean children need to have imaginative mindset, which helps them be more active in life. By and large, comic book is worth reading after hard work. It is nice for everyone.

In our daily activities we often get in touch with the others and from these relations we meet some people whose interests, characteristics and behaviors are similar to ours and we choose them as our friends. To me, one of my best friends is Nam. Nam is only over eighteen but he is well developed; so he is thought to be twenty or more. He has black hair, a broad forehead, a straight nose and bright eyes. He is very good-looking. He has a kind heart and is easy to get on with everybody. We have been friends for a very long time. The deeper our mutual understanding becomes the more we feel closely attached to each other. “Birds of a feather flock together”, Nam and I are keen on learning. We are the best pupils in our class. Nam is always at the top. He is good at every subject, but he never shows pride in his abilities and always tries to learn harder. Nam’s family is not rich enough. His parents are retired workers. Realizing the hardships of his parents, although he is absorbed in his study, he often spends most of his spare time doing useful things to help his parents in their old age. He gets up early in the morning to have enough time to deliver newspapers to subscribers before going to school. After school in the afternoon, he repairs bicycles and motorbikes. Therefore the money he gets from his manual job is sufficient for his school fees and for his parents’ presents. I like Nam very much because of his honesty and straight forwardness. He is always ready to help his weak friends in their study; as a result, lots of friends, thanks to his whole-hearted help, have become good ones. In my relation with Nam, I have got precious experience: thirst for learning, patience to overcome difficulties, helpfulness and filial piety.

5C class of thirty-two your children, you do the same cute and lovable, but I like the most is you Dieu Ha
Dieu Ha was barely ten years old, the same age as me. You have good shape, healthy. Agile gait, whenever necessary work that is done you take a moment right. Letters filled face, nose is not very high but with the face. Pink white skin makes your face more radiant section, high forehead, expressing intelligence. Your eyes are very bright and a black lid, demonstrated honesty and directness. Dieu Ha daily attendance wore white shirts, blue trousers, very clean. The red scarf stand out on the white collar, looks pretty cute as a butterfly.
Dieu Ha always cheerful, gentle with friends, you always help those you love in grade school. Dieu Ha very studious, at school and at home. You well in all subjects, especially math excellence. In class, Dieu Ha always hard to hear the teacher lectures, do not seat you ask her out went through. You do all the exercises today and exercises to prepare for the next lesson. So in class, Ha or hands utterance. Dieu Ha was appointed as class president. You showed great role model, a leader in all aspects in order to set an example for the term in the class to follow. Each session has a 15 minute visit early hours post Ha are reminded of your monitor. Ha wish that everyone in the class to study well at all. Hanoi is not only the person but also prominent because in Ha good son often helps her mother cook, wash dishes, sweep the house. Wash clothes.
My dear friend makes you remember those five months old childhood game. Photos of Ha has left me many unforgettable impression. Dieu Ha is a good example to me and you follow. I will try to study well to deserve a close friend of Dieu Ha.
