Nowadays, large cities are becoming more and more inhabited because of the tendency of the immigration to the city. Even though, it brings about many advantages such as more opportunities of jobs and higher living standard, the urban lifestyle make rural dwellers opt to live a different lifestyle than before. Living in a big city may result in many drawbacks as discussed following.
Urban centers are filled with motorized transport and other sources of pollutants waste from the large populations of people, or emissions from factories. The urban centers have very few or even totally missing green spaces with higher amount of pollutants that are so harmful for citizens. For a long time, lung cancers, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases and asthma are just a few diseases common among urban dwellers.
Another disadvantage of living in a city is traffic congestion. Every day, many people have to struggle with the transportation jams, who usually face with being late in their office. They are always stuck for many hours on the way to work. In addition, more transports on the street are the main distributor of air pollution which can lead to many bad effects on man’s health
It is undeniable that the cost of living in big cities is much higher than in countryside. The impact of this can result in the expensive cost of the public services such as health service, postal service, education… It will be difficult for the poor and workers to live in big cities with a low minimum wage. They seem to struggle with the rapid changes in the price of basic necessities and public services hospitals, schools,…

I live in Vietnam and there are a lot of traffic problems in big cities in my country. Firstly, there are too many people using the roads especially in the rush hour when people run out to work and school or get home from those places. Secondly, there are too many vehicles on the road that leads to traffic jams. Another problem is that many roads are narrow and bumpy. Fourthly, there are traffic accidents every day so a lot of people lose their lives or are injured. So in order to travel on the roads safely, I think we should obey the traffic rules and traffic signs as well. Moreover, carefulness is very necessary.

With the traffic conditions in Ha Noi, accident is object to happen. The roads are too narrow to travel easily. Moreover, many pot-holes can appear everywhere to threaten the goers. On the roads, there're sometimes the illogical roundabouts. They are not only useless, but also make the traffic more chaotic. To solve this problem, we only have one way, it's improving the road. However, it is impossible for the government to widen the roads because of limited land. Whenever theroads are repaired, the traffic is more dangerous with the unfinished structures. People still travel on the repairing roads, and the roads are more and more narrow. We also can build the tunnels but it is very costly. Viet Nam has to borrow money from other countries and no one knows when the government can pay it back. As you know, Ha Noi is a monsoonal tropical country, it has a lot of rain every year. During the rainy season, the roads are flooded because all the waste pipes are stuck by rubbish and become very dirty.

My city – Ho Chi Minh city, has bad traffic problems.
There are so many vehicles on the streets and alleys, from buses, cars, to motorbikes, bicycles. The city has the most motorbikes in this country.
Moreover, the streets are very narrow and bad. They are easily flooded when it rains so heavily. The streets and alleys become bumpy after the rain.
Many traffic users don’t obey the traffic rules. They usually drive and ride very dangerously.
As a result, there are traffic accidents every dav in this city.

Pho is a traditional dish of Vietnam, can also be considered one of the typical dishes Vietnam cuisine. Pho is the main component of noodles and broth (or broth in a way called the South) with beef or chicken sliced thin. Des Moines is the capital of Iowa. Life here is upbeat but not too busy. Everyone that is born and raised in Iowa is very relaxed and kind. We love to say hi and help one another and we love cars. Generally, traffic is pretty good. We don't have a lot of traffic jams. However, during rush hours, you cannot move an inch on the interstate because everyone is trying to get on and off. This usually creates chaos and a huge traffic jam. In Des Moines, we have all kinds of jobs, from white to blue-collar jobs. Inside downtown, we usually have white-collar jobs. The father away from downtown, the more blue-collar jobs we have. Due to the huge population of immigrants, the city of Des Moines is also very diverse. This diversion births a hub of mulultural foods. Driving down Douglas Ave, you can see different kinds of foods from many cultures, such as Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Italian, Hispanic, American, Indian, Burmese, etc. One day you can have Chinese, the next day Indian. In Iowa, Des Moines is the most diverse and busiest city. It houses many families from many different countries and still able to keep American culture and values.

Ùn tắc giao thông xảy ra nhiều lần ở các thành phố lớn không chỉ làm thiệt hại hàng trăm tỷ đồng mỗi nămmà còn gây ra các tổn thương nghiêm trọng về sức khỏe như chấn thương đầu, cột sống,… . Lưu thông trên đường bộ, đường sắt, đường sông mỗi năm một tăng nhưng cơ sở hạ tầng lại chưa được quan tâm một cách đúng mức dẫn đến cung không đủ cầu. Đây chính là mối quan tâm nà nhà nước và chính phủ việt Nam phải tìm ra hướng giải pháp nhanh chóng.

Fourthly, there are traffic accidents every day so a lot of people lose their lives or are injured. So in order to travel on the roads safely, I think we should obey the traffic rules and traffic signs as well. Moreover, carefulness is very necessary.

Tôi sống ở Việt Nam và có rất nhiều vấn đề về giao thông ở các thành phố lớn ở nước tôi. Thứ nhất, có quá nhiều người sử dụng đường bộ đặc biệt là vào giờ cao điểm khi mọi người chạy ra ngoài làm việc và đi học hoặc về nhà từ những nơi đó. Thứ hai, có quá nhiều xe trên đường gây ùn tắc giao thông. Một vấn đề nữa là nhiều con đường hẹp và gập ghềnh. Thứ tư, có tai nạn giao thông hàng ngày nên rất nhiều người bị mất mạng hoặc bị thương. Vì vậy, để đi trên đường an toàn, tôi nghĩ chúng ta cũng nên tuân thủ các quy tắc giao thông và các biển báo giao thông. Hơn nữa, cẩn thận là rất cần thiết.
