I remember that when I was in 5th grade, my class was good at studying, reacted aggressively in all activities of the school so it was very popular with teachers and friends. In grade 5, the exam that we are most interested in is the excellent student exam. I have chosen to send gold to send the task of taking good students. I have to say I was proud and proud to do so. And I know that besides me, there is no one qualified to take this exam. At that time, I was a smug little girl, always thought I was good and despise the people around. Ms. Thu enthusiastically study for me, I also try my best to study under the guidance of her.

Two days before the exam I allowed myself to rest for the day with the most comfortable spirit. I am very confident in what I have learned. On the day of the competition everyone happy to wish me success, won high. I completed the excellent essay for Literature, but Mathematics was a terrible failure. The best thing I can do is not to do it, because I volunteered to ignore it because I thought it was too simple to put on a good student exam. I lost my spirits from that moment, suddenly all the knowledge in my head flew away, I can not remember anything anymore. Even if I try my best, I can not regain my composure. And then I knew that I would not get any awards in this competition. Every wish, expectation of everyone or myself, all the smoke.

I step out of the examination room with a somber face, I do not want to meet anyone, just want to hide all the most is Ms. Thu who dedicatedly told me. I still remember as she wrote: "Whatever form of paper, whether hard or easy you must also scrutinize, do not subject yourself to any offline," she repeats it over and over again. many times. However, just because of the subjectivity, just because of arrogance, self-thinking good giang has made every hope of her break. I know how to face her, tell her how disappointing results this time.

The next day I always tried to avoid her, I was afraid to face, to explain to her, I was afraid to look her sad eyes. But I could not avoid it, that day, when she finished school she called me back to class. It was a talk that I would never forget the words she said later, the words she taught:

- Yesterday, she received the results of the excellent student exam, the subject children do very well by 9 points, but Math is too bad. I know your exam this time is not good since you left the examination room. But can you tell me why, math is so bad? She knows how good she is, she believes she can do well. So that…

"Your child, your child did not review you part ... I ... I ... really sorry for you. I am very angry with myself. Angry because of subjective self, has made her and everyone disappointed, ...

I sobbed, sorry for you, to say that my heart felt so much lighter. Listening to my words, she patted her shoulders lightly, hugging me to say,

- Keep your daughter quiet. Every one of us has been wrong, everybody has stumbled. The most important thing is self-perception and modification. I hope this will be a lesson that you will remember forever, so that whatever you do, whether large or small, you need to be careful, careful not to be subjective. Because just a minute of subjective, the consequences will not be unexpected.

I listened attentively as I swallowed her words. That was the first time I realized that just because a minute of negligence, your subjectivity affects so many people. It has happened for a long time but it will be a lesson for me: in anything that is not subjective, careful, meticulous, effort, try not stop.

All along it was a fever
A cold sweat hot-headed believer
I threw my hands in the air I said show me something
He said, if you dare come a little closer

Round and around and around and around we go
Ohhh now tell me now, tell me now, tell me now, you know

Not really sure how to feel about it
Something in the way you move
Makes me feel like I can't live without you
It takes me all the way
I want you to stay

It's not much of a life you're living
It's not just something you take, it's given
Round and around and around and around we go
Ohhh now tell me now, tell me now, tell me now, you know

Not really sure how to feel about it
Something in the way you move
Makes me feel like I can't live without you
It takes me all the way
I want you to stay

Ohhh the reason I hold on
Ohhh cause I need this hole gone
Funny you're the broken one but i'm the only one who needed saving
Cause when you never see the lights it's hard to know which one of us is caving

Not really sure how to feel about it
Something in the way you move
Makes me feel like I can't live without you
It takes me all the way
I want you to stay, stay
I want you to stay, ohhh

They call Jamaica the "Island in the sun" and that is my memory of it. Of sunshine, warmth and abundant fruit that was growing everywhere, and of love. There were two sisters ahead of me in the family, and though of course I didn't know it, there was an exciting talk of emigration, possibly to Canada but more usually to England, the land of opportunity. I guess that plans were already being made when I was born, for a year or so later my Dad left for London. Two years after that my mum went as well and my sisters and I were left in the care of my grandmother.

Emigrating to better yourself was a dream for most Jamaicans, a dream many were determined to fulfill. Families were close and grandmothers were an important part of the family. So, when the mass emigrations began, it seemed perfectly right and natural for them to take over the running of families left behind.

Grandmothers are often strict, but usually also spoil you. She ran the family like a military operation: each of us, no matter how young, had our tasks. Every morning, before we went to school, we all had to take a bucket appropriate to our size and run a relay from the communal tap to the barrels until they are full. My sisters had to sweep the yard before they went to school. My grandmother would give orders to the eldest and these were passed down- as I got older I found this particularly annoying! But I can tell you, no one avoided their duties.

My Dad came over from England to see how we were getting on . He talked to us about the new country, about snow, about the huge city, and we all wanted to know more, to see what it was like. I didn't know it at that time., but he had come to prepare us for the move to England. Six months later my grandmother told me that I was going to join my parents and that she, too, was emigrating.

London was strange and disappointing. There was no gold on the pavements, as the stories in Jaimaica had indicated. The roads were busy, the buildings were grey and dull, with many tall, high-rise blocks. It was totally unlike Jamaica, the houses all small and packed close together. In my grandmother's house I had a big bedroom, here I had to share.

Then came the biggest shock: snow. While flakes came out of the sky and Dad smiled, pointed and said: "That's snow!" I rushed outside, looked up and opened my mouth to let the flakes drop in. The snow settled on my tongue and it was so cold that I cried. My toes lost all feeling. As my shoes and socks got wet and frozen, there came an excruciating pain and I cried with the intensity of it. I didn't know what was happening to me.

What does "this" in the third paragraph refer to

A. being told what to do by his sisters

B. having to sweep the yard before school

C. having to do duties he found difficult

D. being given orders by his grandmother

Househusbands

Dear Editor,

I read with interest the article on American families. In general I agree with it, but there are some important things it left out. It didn't tell the reader much about the life of a househusband. It's not an easy life. I know, because I'm now a househusband myself. A househusband has to change many of his ideas and his ways.

First of all, he has to change the way he thinks about time. Before I was a househusband, I worked full-time for the New York Times. I was a reporter, and time was always important. We had to finish our article quickly and give them to the editor. Everyone was always in a hurry. This is the way, many other men work, too. Businessmen, lawyers, bankers, and doctors all have to work quickly.

At home it's different. The househusband cannot be in a hurry all the time. If you rush around, you will make everyone unhappy! The children will be unhappy because they don't understand. For them, time is not important. Your wife will be unhappy because the children are unhappy. You will be unhappy, too, because they are all unhappy. So you have to learn to slow down. That is the first and most important rule for a househusband.

There is something else the househusband must learn. You must learn to show how you feel about things. At work, men usually do not talk about feelings. If they do, people think they are strange. So, many men are not used to telling anyone about their feelings. They do not know how to talk about their anger, worries, or love. But children need to know how you feel. They need to know how much you love them. If you are angry, they need to know why. Your wife also needs to know about your feelings. If you do not say anything, your family may get the wrong idea. Then there may be serious problems.

People talk a lot about househusbands these days. Usually they talk about men doing the housework, the cooking, cleaning, and shopping. But in my opinion, these are the easiest things to learn. It was much harder for me to change the way I think and the way I act with my family. I think, other men will also find this harder, but, like me, will find it necessary if they want to have a happy family!

Melissa, runner

I started running about a year ago. At first, I just ran 1 or 2 kilometers, but I now do about 10. My speed is improving too. I have joined a running club in the town center. I didn't know any of the members before, but now most of them are my mates. My dad was a keen runner when he was younger - he was really fit, but he stopped when he hurt his leg. Actually, I need to order some new running shoes - just a simple pair. I don't think the expensive ones make you run faster!

Sharon, skateboarder

I go skateboarding most evenings in the park. I suppose that's quite a lot, but the park is only a minute or two from our apartment, and I only stay there half an hour or so. Although I stay longer when my friends are there. Sometimes my cousin's there too. He's a beginner, and I'm teaching him a few moves. He's starting to get really good!

Latifa, rock climber

Two of my best friends suggested I should start rock climbing, so now the three of us do it together. The mother of one of them takes us once or twice a month, but I'd like to do it every week. When I started, I didn't know you need to get so much stuff - and it isn't exactly cheap! I really love it. I don't think I''ll ever get bored of climbing!
