To me, one of my best friends is Nam. Nam is 18 years old. He has black hair, a broad forehead, a straight nose and bright eyes. He is very good-looking. He has a kind heart and is easy to get on with everybody. We have been friends for a very long time. The deeper our mutual understanding becomes the more we feel closely attached to each other. Nam and I are keen on learning. We are the best pupils in our class. Nam is always at the top. He is good at every subject, but he never shows pride in his abilities and always tries to learn harder. Nam’s family is not rich enough. His parents are retired workers. I Nam very much because of his honesty and straight forwardness. He is always ready to help his weak friends in their study. In my relation with Nam, I have got precious experience: thirst for learning, patience to overcome difficulties, helpfulness and filial piety.

I am sure that each of us has at least one friend to share the joys and sorrows in our lives together. I also have a best friend named Trang, and we have been friends since I was a student in the eighth grade. She was an exchange student from another school, and our teacher had arranged us to sit at the same table. Trang has short black hair, and she usually wears colorful hair clips which are very prominent. She is tall and slim, and it can be said that she is one of the highest people in the class, even higher than most of the boys. Trang is a friendly, active and kind person who is always willing to help people around her even if it is not one of our classmates. I am so proud whenever somebody mentions that Trang is my best friend. We share the same interest in watching movies and listening to music, so we talk to each other a lot. We can spend hours and hours talking about our favorite movie or the latest song on YouTube, and I am always the person who plays the role of a listener. We are always on each other’s side, we always go home together after school, and at the end of the week we love to hang out together. Our favorite activity is going to a coffee shop and doing shopping. Trang s to read books so she buys a lot of books, and I just have to wait for her to finish reading them so I can exchange my books with her. Trang is a pretty and interesting girl, so most people around want to be friends with her. Although Trang and I both have a lot of friends, but we always consider each other is best friend forever.
I have a lot of friends but my best friend is Anh. She is one of the classmates. We have known each other since we were 6 years old. She has a short black hair and it is straight. Her lips is small but it's very beautiful. Her eyes is very affectionately. She is tall and thin. She is very kind and and generous. She spends her free time doing volunteer work at a local orphanage but she is a hard working student who always gets good grades. Unlike me, she likes sports very much. She plays badminton very good. I am very pleased to have such a kind and understanding friend like here. I wish our friendship will last forever.

Long time no see you. How are you? How about the first exam you did at school?
Tet holiday is the biggest and the most important festival in VietNam. Tet often falls between late January and early February. Before Tet, my mother and I go shopping to buy clothes, candies, flowers, fruits and decorative items. My family always cleans and decorates our house together. On the first day of Tet, I don’t go out, I stay at home and sit around the pot of Banh Chung to talk, watch fireworks with my family. On the second day, I go to my grandparents’s house with my family and they give me lucky money. It’s always a nice day because I like to meet my grandparents so much! Next, on the third day, I visit my teachers and send them New Year wishes. And my favorite most is get the lucky money from the older because it brings me lucks in the year! I write this letter to tell you about my family, specially my father.
My family has a lot of people: grandparents, parents, young brother and I. I love all people but they are the most precious father.
My father is Trung, this year he is more than forty years old. Age is most evident on the father's hair. How many worries, struggling with time to make black hair day time point of silver. Holiday postcards have three main characteriss. They're short, positive (even if it's raining) and predictable in their content.
