I have just returned from a 1-week holiday with my friends in Da Nang and Quang Ngai. We stayed most of the time in Da Nang. Then we spent the last few nights in a very picturesque and historic place called Hoi An Old Town. We had such a relaxing time on our holiday. We enjoyed some wonderful local food. It’s really delicious. The activities we enjoyed on holiday were walking, swimming and go out at night. The water is so fresh and clean, and the temperature is just refreshing – not too hot and not too cold. We went hiking in the mountains nearly for some days, which was very good for our fitness. I really enjoyed this holiday. I loved the fresh air and the scenery, and of course the food. I will certainly be going back there another year, as I think it’s one of my favourite parts of the world.

Tet is a traditional holiday of our country Vietnam. The season of Tet occurs around the biginning of February and end of Janaurỵ The meaning of Tet is ending old year and welcome a new year. Tet holiday is very special for Vietnamese families to reunite. At that time, all family members try to come back their homes and get together to prepare for Tet. Moreover they will buy new clothes and clean their house. A branch of Mai flower or a Kumquat tree can't be absent from every home. They bring a fresh atmosphere to the house. We decorate ancestral altar with a tray full of fruits and flowers. Some typical Tet's food such as sweets, coconut jam, candied fruits, lemon seeds, rice cake , "thit kho"( stew pork with eggs). A special food can not absent is sky rice cake.. It is our country's traditional food on Tet holiday. Tet meal is more dilicious than our every day. On Tet holiday, people have many typical activities. Young persons takes part in the traditional games such as: tug; cooking rice, cock fighting, watching lion dance. Although the life is very difficult, but the people is very friendly, and studious. In Duc Tho, there is a Tung Anh village where called “Doctor village”. Duc Tho is also the home of Tran Phu Secretary General, and marked many memories of the great leader Ho Chi Minh.
If you come to Duc Tho, you will feel many interesting things, visiting Tran Phu tombstone, La Giang dyke, rowing on La driver, and enjoying the traditional songs. In the evening, they can enjoy a special food which is “mussel rice” – just only eat one time, you will never forget.
Beautiful and unobtrusive! Duc Tho always tries to grow, and to improve the life of people, but keeping the traditional culture.

Everyone live a hard life that time. People lack of food, of money. Now, it is different. People don't live a hard life anymore. They have enough food, enough money, everyone got a house, and many more things. The only things that doesn't change is sentiment. Everyone always be very happy. They live together, help each other when they need, that is a luxury.
That makes my village a wonderful place for everyone. People are just farmer, but they solidarity in the face of penury. And when they have money in their hands, they still solidarity they are friendly with others, they are helpful, they are good people. That's about people.
Landscape is still the old days. That river, that mountain. Nature is harmony with people. People live with nature, people product things of nature, and nature always open-handed with people, give them resource for them to build their house. That is what people seek, and they live with it very well.
