My Favourite Sport is Swimming

Swimming has been my favourite sport since I was very small. I learnt to swim when I was just 5 years old. Swimming is a very popular sport; furthermore, it provides individuals with several physical and mental benefits.

There are some reasons why swimming is popular. Firstly, swimming is a sport for all age groups; besides, it is a lifetime activity. People can learn to swim as young as 4 or 5 years old or as old as 60 or 70. All it takes is the right instruction and desire to get in the pool. Secondly, swimming is cheap. You don't have to spend much money on it. All you need is just a swimsuit that makes you feel comfortable and a goggle that keeps water from your eyes. Even though you have to buy an admission ticket, it is not so expensive. Anyone can afford to go to swim. Finally, swimming is one of the most popular sports in the world.

Besides its popularity, swimming is a good activity that provides individuals with several physical benefits. First of all, swimming is a movement through water using one's legs and arms that provides an all body workout. As all of your muscles are used during swimming, it is an excellent form of exercise. Moreover, swimming can also be very beneficial to your heart and lungs. After a few laps, swimming can Giúp you cool-down, move blood through your muscles to Giúp them recover. Swimming builds up muscle strength , so your body is kept in perfect shape.

In addition to its physical benefits, swimming is also an effective way to relax. Swim with a very low effort, let your mind wander, focus on nothing but the rhythm of your stroke. This form of meditation can Giúp you gain a feeling of well-being. Furthermore, swimming is a wonderful recreational activity for you and your family. Spending hours at the pool on hot summer days is always my favourite pastime.

Swimming has numerous advantages over other exercises and if done consistently will keep you in shape for the long period of time.

My most favorite game is Football. It is a world famous game.

Football is such a popular game that it is played even in the most remote corner of my country. People walk long distances to watch a football match. Even old people enjoy watching this game.

To play this most interesting, I go to the field near my house where my friends wait for me every late afternoon. My friends also love this game very much. We play until dark.

But it is a very hard game. It requires a lot of strength to kick the ball. They must also be skillful in controlling the ball. All this makes the game a difficult game indeed. Playing football however Giúp us healthy and active.

I shall always love this game.

I like swimming. It is my favorite sport, for I know that it is healthy as well as a good chance for a person to exercise his or her body.

Last Sunday morning, as the weather was fine, I went to Vung Tau with my family. It took us about two hours by car to arrive at our destination, and I felt very excited about it.

When our car reached the top of the cliff overlooking the Bay, I admired the golden sand of the long beach, the blue sky and water, and the splendid country surroundings which looked like an artist’s painting.

We put on our bathing-suits and ran into the water. It was a very happy swim for me. We played ball, challenged each other in swimming a certain distance. Of course, I was always beaten by my bigger brothers but I was satisfied with my good effort. When we felt tired, we lay down on the beach to rest and to have some sunbath. At about noon, we returned to our tent and had lunch.

About 3 p.m. we went once more into the water and swam till 5 p.m. Finally, we got ready to start for home. Everyone was delighted to have spent such a wonderful swim. I really enjoyed swimming very much that day.

1Badminton is a racquet sport. People play it by using racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net. The most common forms of badminton are singles (with one player per side) or doubles (with two players per side). So there are two or four players. There are three games in a badminton match. A player wins a game when he/she scores 21 points first. A badminton match lasts for 45 to 75 minutes. Badminton is a kind of sports I like best because of many following reasons. Firstly, I can improve my heath when i play it. It makes me keep fit and stay healthy. Secondly, badminton is a game suitable for people of all ages.I can play it with my father or my younger brother. Finally, it is really great fun to play badminton. Learning new techniques is wonderful. Playing badminton is not as intense as other sports such as basketball and soccer because it lessens the possibility of being hurt. I  think it is the most interesting sport. That's all

My favorite hobby is playing football in spare time. After completing my home work at home, I generally spend my lot of free time in playing football. I was so interested to play football from my childhood however started learning to play well when I was 5 years old. I was in one class when I was 5 years old. My father asked to my class teacher in the PTM about my hobby of football. And my teacher told him that there is a facility of playing sports daily in the school from class 1 so you can admit your child. Now, I really enjoy playing football and paripate in the inter-school competitions.

Badminton is one kind of exercising that will make people enjoy it. It’s also good for our health. That’s why, I’m taking badminton as one of my hobby.

Badminton is a very easy game, everyone can play it. In fact, you can play it anywhere with rackets and a shuttlecock. The shuttlecock is made from goose feathers pushed into a small piece of cork. Badminton rackets are very light. They normally weigh from 90 grams to about 110 grams. The smash of the shuttlecock can travel up to 260km per hour.

There are six main shots: the serve, the clear, the drop, the smash, the forehand drive and the backhand drive. The court on which badminton is played is in the shape of a rectangle and is divided in half by a net. There are two or four players, each team is on each side of the net.

Badminton takes its name from the home of the Duke of Beaufort, Badminton House in Gloucestershire, England where the first game of badminton was played. 

There are many benefits of playing badminton for our health. It reduces bad cholesterol and increase in good cholesterol and increases the levels of HDL good cholesterol while decreasing the levels of bad cholesterols. When you play badminton, basal heart rate drops a few beats per minute and blood pressure is reduced, which protects you from heart disease. It also can reduce weight for overweigh people and attain optimal weight for their height and age. That’s why it keeps you feeling well, strong, motivated, enthusias and young.

I don’t sports basically, but badminton are special. I have always been enjoying play that. I’d to continue play this sport as my hobby and have fun.

I play a lot of sports such as soccer, volleyball, basketball, but my favorite one is soccer. It quite simple as the twenty two players of both team try to lead the ball into their opponent’s goal. However, there are some other rules that players need to follow in order to have a fair game. There is an offside rule which prevent players from running towards the opposite goal before anybody else. There is one main referee who has full authority to enforce the laws on the players. He has the power to stop the game temporarily to check on the players’ fault, to give a yellow or direct red card or to give a penalty decision. His decision is the final one, and nobody can argue about it even though he also has two or four other assistants. An international standard soccer field need to be 100 to 110 meters in length, and 64 to 75 meters in width. A domes standard soccer field is a little bit smaller or bigger, which is 90 to 120 meters in length, and 45 to 90 meters in width in provided that it do not become square. A soccer match consists of two half of 45 minutes each, and there is a small break of 15 minutes before both teams entering the second half. If there is no goal in that official time, they need to play for another extra time, which consists of two other 15 - minute periods. If there is still no goal in that time, the players then enter the penalty shootouts. There are five times for each team to score, and the one with the most scores becomes the winner of the whole match. Soccer can be known as the king sport, and people will never stop playing it.

My favorite sport is badminton, and I think it is a suitable sport for girls me. I have been playing badminton since I was 12, and it is very good for me to improve my height. It needs at least two players to play, and we have to use rackets to hit a shuttlecock over a net. However, we can always play it in double form with two players each side or in larger teams. Points are counted when we can strike the shuttlecock across the net, and it lands within the opponent’s side of the court. We can also score when our opponent hit the shuttlecock but it does not go over the net or within our side. The scoring one can serve the shuttlecock, and it does not matter if the score is from the server and the receiver. There is one referee who sits on a very high chair right outside of the court and next to the net. He or she is the one who determines whether the shuttlecock touches the net or goes outside of the limit. Each game is played up to 21 points, if both of the players reach to 20 points, then they need to continue until one of them gains a two - point lead, for example 24 - 22. There are three sets in a match, and whoever win out of two sets, he or she wins the whole game. This is a quite simple sport without too many rules, and it does not require an ideal base of strength. Most of my girlfriends choose it as their main subject in Physical Education class, and we can both have fun and improve our health by it.

I very like watching cartoons. And of all the film I have seen, “Grave of the fireflies” is one in the cartoons which I like most. In Vietnamese it’s called is “Căn hầm đom đóm” or “Mộ đom đóm”. It’s a tragic story about two childents in the war. It’s made from Japan by Ghibli studio, directed and written by Takahata Isao. It is based on a nover of Nosaka Akiyuki. It’s written as a apologize to his sister. With Japanese, this film is understaned as a fable about the respect. Film is been in historical background at the end of the seconds world war from Japan. Film tells a painful story but moving to brothers sentiment of two orphaneds : Seita and Setsuko. They lost mother after a fierce bombing of American air force to Kobe city while their father combat for Japanese navy. So Seita and Setsuko must to struggle to exist between the famine and the resistance to merciless of surrounding people (that have their kinship). They have to live in a shelter-pit and often eat frogs and lizards. At the end, Setsuko have to die for hunger, pictures depict painfulness and the death of little girl can be considered as the most mournful film pictures in the cartoon Japan history. When everybody, who had seen this film are asked, most of them said they cried, and that have me.

The advantages and disadvantages of watching TV

Everything is two-faced like the two faces of a coin, and so is watching TV. Watching TV has advantages.

First, it widens our knowledge. Information on TV is diverse, letting the viewers know upto-date news from all fields of life such as news about politics, socioeconomy, scientific- chnology, etc…

Second, TV serves us as a means of relaxation. Films, plays, music shows on TV are vailable all day. We can enjoy these programs at home whenever we like.

Third, it is a good friend helping us kill time. Whenever we feel bored or do not know what to do. Simply turn on your TV set and you will surely feel OK soon. On the other hand, watching TV also has some disadvantages. Bad contents such as violent films, sexual exposures on the screen, and other sensitive topics may dangerously affect children. In addition, Watching TV too much or regularly also takes us much time and badly affects our health, especially our eyes.

Finally, we have to pay some extra money for electricity consumption, too. In short, watching TV, which may be good or bad, depends on the way we use TV to serve our life.

There are many sports, which are good for our health and popular over the world. Soccer is one of my favorite sports. It is played by two teams consisting of 11 people each team. The general rule is that the ball is kicked by leg and the players get score when having the ball in their goal post. Football is known as “king” among other sports. First, it improves integrity when applying several techniques to create strong power. Second, it not only reduces stress and bad cholesterol of body but also relaxes out spirit after a hard working day. My brother usually plays football every afternoon after work as he is in a local sport club. Moreover, football is not simply one kind of sport, it is an art because of the popularity. Since there is an increasing number of football team over the world such as: Manchester United, Barcelona, Arsenal with professional players. Although I am not able to play well, I love watching football matches as they are interesting and we can also learn from their technique. Furthermore, football is public concern as well as heated debate. Football is now popular through women, who are thought not able to play this kind of sport.

I am keen on playing basketball when I have free time, because it is a great way to get your mind off things and express yourself. Basketball is a team sport and each team has no more ten players. There are four 10-minute rounds in each match. I get many benefits when playing basketball. I can show every aspects of who I really am from an emotional, physical, and competitive standpoint. Moreover, basketball also teaches me that teamwork play an essential role. Good basketball teams always do some great teamwork. I am interested in playing basketball outside with my friends. If we lose game, we will discuss our weakness together and believe that we can play better next time. It makes our friendship becomes stronger. For me, basketball, my passion for life, is a great hobby for everyone.

Tôi thích chơi bóng rổ mỗi khi rảnh rỗi, bời vì nó là cách tuyệt vời để quên đi mọi thứ và thể hiện chính bản thân mình. Bóng rổ là môn thể thao đồng đội và mỗi đội có không quá mười người chơi. Có bốn hiệp đấu kéo dài mười phút trong mỗi trận. Tôi nhận được nhiều lợi ích khi chơi bóng rổ. Tôi có thể chứng minh bản thân thực sự từ khía cạnh cảm xúc, thể chất và tính cạnh tranh. Hơn thế nữa, bóng rổ cũng dạy tôi rằng làm việc nhóm đóng vai trò vô cùng quan trọng. Đội bóng rổ tốt luôn có tinh thần làm việc nhóm tuyệt vời. Tôi thích chơi bóng rổ ngoài trời với bạn.
