Đống Đa secondary school is a quite big school with over 1000 students. It’s on Nguyễn Du street, Đống Đa ward, Hà Nội. Classes are from 7:00 to 11:30. Some subjects are compulsory like Literature, Maths English, Physics, History, Geography, Biology. Others are optional. I like natural science, so I study Maths, Physics, Biology very hard.

Vũng Tàu is in the south of Việt Nam. It's got a population of over 1,000,000 in 2019. It's very modern and the people are really friendly. There are many beautiful beaches, green parks, some shopping malls, office buildings and factories here. Côn Đảo, Hồ Chí Minh City, and Đà Lạt are some quite nice places not far from Vũng Tàu. I sometimes visit these places for holidays, but Vũng Tàu is more fantastic.

You can enjoy the Southern cake festival in Can Tho city every April. Local people celebrate south-western culture at this festival. There are many traditional stores with different kinds of cakes made of rice flour, beans and other natural ingredients. The festival occurs within three days. People wear beautiful clothes to take photos. They also enjoy music and play interesting traditional games. It’s noisy, but it’s also friendly. The Tam Dao salamander or Vietnamese salamander (Paramesotriton deloustali) lives in Vietnam ( in streams of mountains in Tam Đảo, Vĩnh Phúc, Tuyên Quang and Thái Nguyên province). It can grow to 144 – 206 millimetres. It eats small animals such as insects, worm spiders, tadpoles, baby frogs and moss. It’s in danger now and it’s rare. The biggest problem is habitat loss and poaching. You can find information on Việt Nam’s Red List. It explains how to protect the salamander. For example, we can stop poaching it and conserve its natural habitats.

During this decade, the most common outfit for people was patterned shirts and high-waisted jeans. Especially, teenagers used to wear slip dresses or crop tops. Some fashion fads are popular again with young people today.

In those days, Vietnamese pop and ballad music developed. People used to listen to music on the radio or go to concerts. Music groups started to become popular, for instance Tam ca Áo trắng and Ba Con Mèo.

It was the decade when technology was more developed. Mobile phone started to be used in the 1990s, Mobile-phone was the first mobile network in Vietnam.

In terms of music, previous decades saw the development of various music genres. Jazz and swing became popular music genres in the 1920s. People often listened to music through radios and purchased records to enjoy their favorite tunes.

In conclusion, the previous decade witnessed the development and changes in fashion and trends. The trends and styles of that time had a profound influence on the lives and culture of people.
