On Halloween, the ancient Celts would place a skeleton by their window to represent the dead. Believing that the head was the most powerful part of the body, containing the spirit and knowledge, the Celts used the "head" of the vegetable to decorate their houses.
On this day people often wear strange clothes as characters in horrible novels or movies to frighten others.
People usually to dress as ghosts, skeletons, or witches. Now Halloween is an official holiday in almost all European countries.

Five years ago, I attended a very big festival in Ha Noi. It's called 1000th Anniversary of Thang Long - Ha Noi Festival. There are a lot of activities in this festival such as fireworks display, military parade, music performances, ect. It was organized very splendidly because the organizers are the Viet Nam government. Millions of people came to Ha Noi to paripate in this great festival. It was held for ten days from October 1st 2015 to October 10th 2015. I saw lots of fireworks, parties, parades during these days. It was interesting. I took so many pictures on this festival because there were plenty of beautiful scenes. We organized this great festival to celebrate the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long - Ha Noi.

Thay pagoda festival is the most popular festival in my hometown. The festival is celebrated in the 7th of March in Lunar calendar, happens in Quoc Oai, a town near Ha Noi center. In fact, people here celebrate the 7 first days of March and the last day is the main festival day. During the festival, tourists can climb the Thay mountain and explore caves here such as “Hang Gio”, “Hang Cac Co”,… Besides, people go there to visit the system of pagodas on the path to the top of the mountain. “Long Dau” is the biggest and most beautiful pagoda here. Because it is shaped like the head of the dragon, its name means that. Praying for health, prosperity and success is the main activity in the festival. On the afternoon, tourists can see the parade around the mountain with traditional music, lion dance, people wearing traditional costums to take their gods to destinations. This ritual is call "Rước Kiệu", a common thing in Viet Nam's traditional festivals. In the evening, in the central of the lake in front of the mountain, puppet show will be organized and attract lots of audience including both the locals and tourists. Tet is a national and family festival. It is an occasion for every Vietnamese to have a good time while thinking about the last year and the next year. At Tet, spring fairs are organized, streets and public buildings are brightly decorated and almost all shops are crowded with people shopping for Tet. At home, every is tidied, special food is cooked,offerings of food, fresh water, flowers and betel are made on the family altar with burning joss- sticks scenting the air. First-footing is made when the lucky visitor comes and children are given lucky money wrapped in a red tiny envelope. Tet is also a time for peace and love. During Tet, children often behave well and friends, relatives and neighbors give each other best wishes for the new year.

Lễ hội là một trong những nét văn hóa của dân tộc ta, nó không chỉ là nơi để vui chơi giải trí mà nó còn là để cho nhân dân ta thể hiện mong ước hay nhớ ơn tổ tiên ông bà ta. Mỗi một quê hương có những lễ hội riêng, tiêu biểu có thể kể đến lễ hội cầu ngư – lễ hội cá ông.
Có thể nói nhắc đến cái tên lễ hội ấy thì chúng ta hẳn cũng biết là lễ hội của những ai. Nói đến cá thì chỉ có nói đến nhân dân vùng ven biển sinh sống bằng nghề đánh bắt cá. Chính đặc trưng ngành nghề ấy đã quyết định đến tín ngưỡng của họ. Những người sống ven biển miền trung thường có tục thờ ngư ông. Chính vì thế cho nên hàng năm họ thường tổ chức vào các năm giống như những hội ở miền Bắc. Họ quan niệm rằng là sinh vật thiêng ở biển, là cứu tinh đối với những người đánh cá và làm nghề trên biển nói chung. Điều này đã trở thành một tín ngưỡng dân gian phổ biến trong các thế hệ ngư dân ở các địa phương nói trên.
Ở mỗi địa phương thì thời gian diễn ra lễ hội truyền thống lại diễn ra khác nhau. Ở Vũng Tàu thì được tổ chức vào 16, 17, 18 tháng 8 âm lịch hàng năm. Ở thành phố Hồ Chí Minh thì lại được tổ chức vào 14 – 17/18 âm lịch hàng năm. Nói chung dù diễn vào thời gian nào thì tất cả những lễ hội ấy đều nói lên được nét đặc trưng văn hóa của nhân dân ven biển. Đồng thời nó thể hiện khát vọng bình yên, cầu mong cuộc sống ấm no hạnh phúc thịnh vượng của họ. Lễ hội Ngư Ông còn là nơi cho mọi người tưởng nhớ đến việc báo nghĩa, đền ơn, uống nước nhớ nguồn.
Tiếp đến chúng ta đi vào phân tích phần lễ hội ngư ông. Trước hết là phần lễ thì bao gồm có hai phần:
Thứ nhất là lễ rước kiệu, lễ rước đó là của Nam hải Tướng quân xuống thuyền rồng ra biển. Khi ấy những ngư dân sống trên biển và bà con sẽ bày lễ vật ra nghênh đón với những khói nhang nghi ngút. Cùng với thuyền rồng rước thủy tướng, có hàng trăm ghe lớn nhỏ, trang hoàng lộng lẫy, cờ hoa rực rỡ tháp tùng ra biển nghênh ông. Không khí đầy những mùi hương của hương án và bày trước mắt mọi người là những loại lễ. Trên các ghe lớn nhỏ này có chở hàng ngàn khách và bà con tham dự đoàn rước. Đoàn rước quay về bến nơi xuất phát, rước ông về lăng ông Thủy tướng. Tại bến một đoàn múa lân, sư tử, rồng đã đợi sẵn để đón ông về lăng. Có thể thấy lễ rước ông không những có sự trang nghiêm của khói hương nghi ngút mà còn có sự đầy đủ của lễ vật và âm nhạc rộn rã của múa lân.
Thứ hai là phần lễ tế. Nó diễn ra sau nghi thức cúng tế cổ truyền. Đó là các lễ cầu an, xây chầu đại bội, hát bội diễn ra tại lăng ông Thủy tướng.
Tiếp đến là phần hội thì trước thời điểm lễ hội, hàng trăm những chiếc thuyền của ngư dân được trang trí cờ hoa đẹp mắt neo đậu ở bến. Phần hội gồm các nghi thức rước Ông ra biển với hàng trăm ghe tàu lớn nhỏ cùng các lễ cúng trang trọng. Đó là không khí chung cho tất cả mọi nhà trên thành phố đó thế nhưng niềm vui ấy không chỉ có ở thành phố mà nó còn được thể hiện ở mọi nhà. Ở tại nhà suốt ngày lễ hội, các ngư dân mời nhau ăn uống, kể cả khách từ nơi xa đến cũng cùng nhau ăn uống, vui chơi, trò chuyện thân tình.
Như vậy qua đây ta thấy hiểu thêm về những lễ hội của đất nước, ngoài những lễ hội nổi tiếng ở miền Bắc thì giờ đây ta cũng bắt gặp một lễ hội cũng vui và ý nghĩa không kém là ngư ông. Có thể nói qua lễ hội ta thêm hiểu hơn những mong muốn tốt lành của những người ngư dân nơi vùng biển đầy sóng gió. Đặc biệt nó cũng trở thành một lễ hội truyền thống của những người dân nơi biển xa.

My favourite festival is Christmas. It celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. It is an important festival in theWest. I love this festival because it brings a long holiday to us to enjoy ourselves.Every year before Christmas, my family and I buy some presents for relatives and friends. We decorate our house with a lot of festive decorations. We put up a Christmas tree in the living room and we decorate the tree with little angels, many beautiful bells and some little Santa Clauses. We also place a big star on top of the tree.On Christmas Eve, my sister and I put stockings beside our beds, and my parents secretly put some gifts inside the stockings. I will also put gifts secretly under the pillows of my parents to surprise them.During Christmas time, we have Christmas parties. I have parties with my family, relatives and friends. We prepare a lot of food such as turkey, Christmas cake, chicken wings and sausages. At the parties, I give Christmas cards to everyone and we exchange gifts with each other. Together we sing Christmas carols.
Christmas is fun. I love this festival very much.

where I live there are many festivals. but the most fun festivals here as Tet. people gathergather together. clean the house together.although tired but very happy to play withrelatives. we go out together in the HolyTemple. wear long travel we attend. in youdoes pretty well.

I used to attend the Tet Holiday Flower festival. It’s called Nguyen Hue Flower street Festival. It is held in Nguyen Hue Street in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. It takes place every Tet Holiday for 1 week. It is celebrated by Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee. They display and decorate the street with many kinds of flowers and lights. Many people come there to enjoy the beautiful flowers and take pictures.

My hometown is Bac Ninh, where there is recognized intangible cultural heritage that is the folk song of them. Every year, on January 13, Lim festival is held in Tien Du, Bac Ninh. While the festival is going on, there's a lot of activity. Like other festivals, the Lim festival is divided into ceremonies and festivals. The ceremony is organized with traditional rituals such as worshiping and rituals. The new part of the association is the part that tourists expect. On the lake, there will be brothers and sisters on the dragon boat singing mandarins. The melodies of the charm are so smooth and clear, they are so beautiful. Many people stood on the shore cheering and taking pictures. While the festival took place, there were also many games such as cockfighting, wrestling, throwing ... Visitors who come here can also buy or rent their costumes to take pictures or buy a lot of souvenirs. beautiful. Quê em ở Bắc Ninh, nơi có di sản văn hóa phi vật thể được công nhận đó chính là làn điệu dân ca quan họ. Hàng năm, vào ngày 13 tháng Giêng hội Lim được tổ chức tại Tiên Du, Bắc Ninh. Trong khi lễ hội được diễn ra, có rất nhiều hoạt động. Cũng như các lễ hội khác, hội Lim được chia thành phần lễ và phần hội. Phần lễ tổ chức các nghi thức truyền thống như cúng, tế. Đến phần hội mới là phần du khách mong chờ. Trên hồ, sẽ có các liền anh, liền chị ở trên thuyền rồng hát quan họ. Những làn điệu trao duyên mượt mà, trong trẻo nghe sao mà da diết thế. Rất nhiều người đứng trên bờ cổ vũ và chụp hình. Trong khi phần hội diễn ra cũng có rất nhiều các trò chơi như chọi gà, đấu vật, ném còn… Du khách đến đây cũng có thể mua hoặc thuê trang phục của các liền anh chị để chụp hình hoặc mua rất nhiều đồ lưu niệm xinh xắn. Hội Lim không chỉ mang giá trị nhân văn mà còn mang giá trị kinh tế to lớn cho tỉnh Bắc Ninh.
