a. $(x-1)(x+2)-(x-3)(x+1)=5x-3$

$\Leftrightarrow (x^2+x-2)-(x^2-2x-3)=5x-3$

$\Leftrightarrow 3x+1=5x-3$

$(2x-1)(x+3)-(x-2)(x+3)=3x+1$
