Lunar New Year or Tet is a traditional festival in Viet Nam. It's the biggest festival in Vietnam. It is held in late January and early February. It's the time when family members reunite and celebrate the occasion together. Tet's preparation lasts many weeks. One or Two dáy before Tet, people make chung cake and Tet cake. Every one is busy buying new clothes, cleaning and decorating their houses and cooking some trditional food such as: jam, picked onion, gio, spring roll, frozen meet,..., Home is often decorated with plants and flowers at this time. Peach blossom is traditional at Tet in the north.While apricot blossom is traditional in the South. Besides, the kumquat tree with its ripe deep orange fruits is popular throughout the country. On the last of the year, preparation for new year is completed. Families have a New Year's Eve supper together and expect the New year's eve. At the mid-night, everyone performs ritusl offering to the ancestor on the New Year's Eve. People believe that what they do on the first day of the year will influence their luckiness during the whole year. On the first day of the year , people visit relatives, friends. neighbors,.... Children receive their lucky money inside red envelops. Some people go to pagoda to pray for a happy new year for their family, Tet is really a time of fun and festival throughout the country

Tet is a national and family festival. It is an occasion for every Vietnamese to have a good time while thinking about the last year and the next year. At Tet, spring fairs are organized, streets and public buildings are brightly decorated and almost all shops are crowded with people shopping for Tet. Long time no see you. How are you? How about the first exam you did at school?
Tet holiday is the biggest and the most important festival in VietNam. Tet often falls between late January and early February. Before Tet, my mother and I go shopping to buy clothes, candies, flowers, fruits and decorative items. My family always cleans and decorates our house together. On the first day of Tet, I don’t go out, I stay at home and sit around the pot of Banh Chung to talk, watch fireworks with my family. On the second day, I go to my grandparents’s house with my family and they give me lucky money. It’s always a nice day because I like to meet my grandparents so much! Next, on the third day, I visit my teachers and send them New Year wishes. And my favorite most is get the lucky money from the older because it brings me lucks in the year! Tet Holiday is the biggest annual celebration of Vietnam in the first days of lunar New Year. During these days, people welcome a new coming year with good health, lucks and success. Tet holiday is very special for Vietnamese families to reunite and celebrate together.
The preparation for Tet holiday is taken place very soon because it requires many steps. All members of families clean and redecorate their houses together. Then, they buy food, drink such as cookies, sweets, candied fruit, melon seeds...to offer their guests and to store because in this occasion, many shops are closed. A branch of peach flower or a kumquat tree cannot be absent from every home during these special days. Children are the most eager, as their parents will buy them new clothes. In addition to buying things, many Vietnamese families make Chung cake, pickled onion, frozen meat, which are our country's traditional food on Tet holiday. We decorate ancestral altars with a five-fruit tray, vegetables, sweets, and flowers.
In the last day of the previous year, people become more excited as they feel that the New Year is very near to them. Everybody all waits for the sacred moment when the clock points 0 am and fireworks light up everywhere to wish for health, lucks and happiness in the next year. Streets are extremely crowded. On contrary, in the first morning of the year, everything seems peaceful and quiet as people want to sleep longer to enjoy the moment with their cozy family. However, there are some families getting up early to come back to their hometown to visit their ancestors' graves and relatives. From noon on, everybody go to their neighbors' houses to wish them a happy new year. Children in new clothes are very excited, as they will get lucky money from adults.
There are many activities to welcome new coming spring in this occasion. Children usually take up pens to write their first essay, hoping for good results in school. In spring festivals, everyone especially the young takes part in the traditional games such as rollercoaster, tug of war, cooking rice, cock fighting etc. to express their happiness while farmers wish for bumper crops. Women often go to pagodas to show Buddha their hearts and wish their families good things and power to avoid bad lucks. During the first days of New Year, Vietnamese people do things that are supposed to be good for themselves and their loved ones such as wearing red clothes, buying salt, taking chance or praying... and avoid saying taboos(related to death, breaking...). Each region in Vietnam has it own customs to celebrate Tet, which are very special and unique.
"Tet" is the word that is very familiar to Vietnamese people whenever we think about our country. This is the time for family reunion, for festivals, and for people to give love to their loved one. As for me, I enjoy the warm and cozy Tet's atmosphere when all members of my family stay and talk together.

Everyyear there are many special occasions in VN, but TET holiday is considered the most significant event to Vietnamese. It's about in towards end of January to February. In that time, all vietnamese family members try to come back their homes and get together .Last tet holiday, I also had a good time with my family.to prepare for tet, I and my sister bought many things such as: new clothes, foods, fruits... We also bought much paints to repair my house. The kumquat tree and peach flower are the most important things that can't lack in my family. after cleaning the house, my parents taught to make Chung cake. It seemed so hard to me
Every year winter passed, carrying the cold of it, is bustling around preparing to welcome a fresh flowers next spring. And of course, the yellow apricot trees loaded with fresh flowers sunny Southern fibers with bright pink peach trees bring beauty cold tender for the domain are two indispensable.
Did not know how now, beautiful golden apricot trees appeared before me at home. Just remember that brief, his grandfather brought it on when going out New Year market. Listen to your mother said, was to bring it about, it's really very small. Yet now, it was a beautiful apricot trees, charming. Radiating trunk branches each branch is a lot of fresh flowers. Every year the festival is bordered on two brothers with stripped leaves the airport tomorrow. Old leaves, young leaves, fallen leaves as many as sifting down, covering the whole tree. It looks a green carpet. When stripped of all leaves, apricot trees are left bare body carrying a plate full of flower buds. nearly 29 festival, apricot trees start to grow leaves. When the wind comes, apricot flowers sent away by the wind and slightly sweet fragrance of it. Ecsta aroma, can not describe the appeal of it. And every time the wind through the surf, the gently flew off tomorrow with the wind, beautiful magical fairy paintings. When the wind settled that, the flowers come again fell to the ground, forming a carpet of gold as the sun cover.
1st Year, three to play, choose a beautiful apricot branches into evidence at the altar grandmother. It's nothing more beautiful. It is through this that the lunar new apricot trees, the family has received many admiring eyes and admiration.
I love this apricot tree cover IET, it has brought my family complete cosme beauty. It is also the beauty of the traditional homeland of Vietnam, home of the South.

Tet is one of the most impotant festivals in Viet Nam. This festival occurs in late January or early February. Tet is a time for family gathering .Some weeks before Tet, people often make a lot of prepairations and decorate their house , buy new clothes for each member in their family. At Tet, people often visit their relatives, gather with their family and eat some traditional food ,..ect... During Tet holiday, everyone feels happy and warm with their family. Each member feels that are concerned by their family and they will love their family more.

Referring to the New Year, I would be happy ! New Year this year, I hope to have a lot of fun! Which is lucky, eat sweets, ... And one thing that I least expect it's "Eve".
Every year, on 30/1, then I'm burning up! On this day, I want to sleep until 7:30 the morning, along with your breakfast US- close friend of my neighbor. Then walk around the street together. Noon, I wish everyone in my neighborhood would gather to eat bars, karaoke. In the afternoon, I, My and Huyen and I will go swimming. 4:00 And they went for ice cream. Finally the evening, me and my sister will be playing the computer, and play again just as the Kitchen God. And 8:00 to 11:30 sleep when my mother called up, just then, the sisters would burn sparklers. 12:00 arrived, my family will really warm Eve. And sleep together.
That's what I always wanted one. I hope this dream will come true!

In VietNam , there are many celebrations in the year .But Tet is the most important and popular holiday for VietNam people . Tet occurs ub kate January or early February .It is a good . It is a good occasion for everyone who live far from home to gather together . This is a time for families to clean and decorate their house . At this time , everyone is busy buying some necessary items such as : clothes , foods , flowers , ........ VietNamese families have a tray of fine kinds of fruits on their altar called. Fine fruit tray , people enjoy food such as Chung cake and spring rolls . At Tet people present rice to with for enough food , red fruit for happiness . Children often gét lucky money from their elders .Therefore Tet is a wonderful occasion for Vietnamese families to reunite and remember .

My favorite festival is Tet. Tet is a traditional seasonal holiday in Vietnam. The festival is usually held every year. It is celebrated throughout Vietnam. Tet is organized to celebrate the new year and to dispel bad stories from the past. People often decorate their homes with peach trees or apricot trees. Everyone in the old family was gathered together, having a fun party and watching fireworks.

Lunar New Year is the most important holiday of the year for VietNamese people, taking place from december 28th to January 3 based on the Lunar calender. In the days right before Tet, My family is busy with shopping and preparing for this momentous occaison. they often organize and remodel the house so that they are neat and warm, and living rooms will be decorated with flowers and trees symbolizing VietNam Tet's such as apricot, cherry...Of the many New years dishes, sticky rice cakes and steamed Gac rice are two special ones which are indispensable on Tet.
