Henry likes fishing. He fishes in the river near our house. On Sunday afternoon, (1)when he has no work, he goes down to the river(2)with a little seat and some sandwiches and fishes until it is quite dark. (3)there are always a few other people there. They love fishing, (4)too, and they all sit there (5)for hours. Sometimes they catch some fish, sometimes they do not. I do not like that kind of sport (6)because I am not very patient.

Once Henry (7)caught a big fish. He was very happy. All the(8)other fishermen left (9)their places and came to see his fish. One of them had a camera, so he (10)took a photograph of Henry and his big fish. We still have the photograph on the wall of our living room.

We had a good time in Perth but we had to cut our holiday short. You see, while we were there my grandmother (my mother’s mother) in Melbourne died. Most of us flew back but but my Dad and my uncle came on the train with the cars and then had to drive back to Melbourne from Port Pirie.

It was a really strange holiday because nothing went the way we planned it.
