You're listening to Hartmouth Radio. In today's news, Hartmouth City government has just announced the winning projects in this year's Youth Lead the Change competition. And this is how Hartmouth's young people voted on ways to spend one million dollars of the city's budget.

The winning project is Plant the City. 5,480 people voted to spend the money on planting more trees and plants around the city. This will help fight climate change and make Hartmouth more beautiful.

The second project with 5,476 votes is Hartmouth Shelters. The money is going to buy new furniture, facilities, and equipment to give some help to people who are sadly experiencing homelessness.

The last project with 4,100 votes is Heat for Success. The money is going to update or replace school heating systems. This will help students study better in winter. If you are interested in joining next year's Youth Lead the Change competition, choose from the list of projects on their website, then write to them saying why you think it's the best way to help improve Hartmouth. Next up, weather with Nick.

Dự án chiến thắng là Plant the City.

Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata was an Indian industrialist and entrepreneur. He was one of the most influential people in the world of industry, and is often called the ‘Father of Indian Industry’. It all started in 1858, when Jamsetji joined his father’s export trading business. He worked there until he was 29, when he started his own company, a cotton mill. He went on to establish several other cotton mills. His companies became famous for being efficient and producing the best quality cotton.

In 1898, Tata donated 14 buildings for a research institute that later became the Indian Institute of Science. His family gave a lot of money to education and scientific research, and helped the progress of science in India.

In 1901 Tata began organising large steel factories. After he died in 1904, his two sons continued his steel companies until they became the largest private steel makers in India.

Tata Steel, in fact, became one of the largest steel companies in the world.

Tata’s family went on to create many companies, including the Tata Power Company, India’s largest private electricity company, and in 1932 Tata Airlines, which eventually became Indian Airlines.

Since then, they have also bought a London-based Tea company and British car companies, Jaguar and Land

Rover.

The Tata family have been incredibly successful and have done a lot to help people in India. Their business empire is still going strong today!

1. Emma

Girl: Hi. Can I ask you? What's your favorite place in town?

Emma: Erm…The shopping center I think.

Girl: The shopping center? Why is that?

Emma: I don't know why. My friends go there.

Girl: And you prefer the place and it’s not the pank near your house, for example?

Emma: Yes, the park is dirty. There is cleaner and I like the shops.

Girl: Okay, thanks.

2. Lucas

Lucas: My favorite place? I don't know, but maybe the bike shop.

Girl: The bike shop? Really? There are lots of people with bikes in this town. When you go to school do you prefer the bus or your bike?

Lucas: My bike. The bus is more expensive and it's slower.

Girl: But bikes are more dangerous.

Lucas: Uhmm… Yes, they are.

3. Dwayne

Girl: What's your favorite place in town?

Dwayne: Oh… I’m…I'm not sure. Well, I'm not from here. I'm from New York, in the USA.

Girl: All right.

Dwayne: Oxford is a nice city though, nicer than New York, I think.

Girl: Really? Why?

Dwayne: New York is more modern I like older places.

4. Chloe and Harriet

Girl: Hi, there. A quick question: what's your favorite place in town?

Chloe: Gino's pizza restaurant

Girl: Really?

Chloe: Yes, I think Gino's is great. But my friend Harriet prefers Luigi's.

Harriet: Yeah. Luigi's pizza is bigger.

Girl: Maybe, but they’re better in Gino's and the people are friendly there.

Harriet: Okay.

Chloe: Yes, that's true.

1. Emma
