4( x +1)^2 + (2x - 1)^2 - 8( x - 1)( x + 1) = 11
=>4 ( x^2 + 2x + 1) + 4x^2 - 4x + 4 - 8( x^2 - 1) = 11
=>4x^2 + 8x + 4 + 4x^2 - 4x + 4 - 8x^2 + 8 = 11
=> 4x = 11 - 4 - 4 - 8
=> 4x = -5
=> x = -5/4
