Vietnam is the country with many beautiful festivals. There are hundreds of festivals each year. Besides the Tet Holiday, the Mid-Autumn festival is one of the most famous festivals and it is a traditional celebration for Vietnamese children. The Mid-Autumn festival dates back to the Rice Civilization of the Red River delta, over 4,000 years ago. It is fantastic and charming with its history. It is held on the 15th day on the 8thlunar month (often in late September or early October) in the middle of autumn and it is celebrated for a whole day. On this day, the adults and the parents prepare many different foods - Moon cakes, candies, biscuits, jellies, and fruit, such as grapefruit, longan fruit, bananas, apples, mango, etc. All of them are designed with fun symbols, for example: dog, cat, mouse … Moon cakes are the specific cakes and are only on this festival. Moon cake, which is made from flavour, meat, egg, dried fruit, pumpkin’s seed, peanut, is so sweet and good tasting. Everyone sounds “How delicious Moon cakes are!” after tasting them and can’t say no with them. Moon cakes symbolise Luck, Happiness, Health and Wealth on the Mid-Autumn day. Besides that, the children are provided with many nice lanterns - star lanterns, flower lanterns and diverse funny masks such as clown mask, lion mask, prince or princess mask for the special performance in the evening of the full moon. Everywhere is fallen in the active and colourful air. The main point of the Mid-Autumn is that children use the beautiful lanterns, wear funny masks, perform fantastic lion dances, sing folklore songs in the house’s grounds or in the streets when the moon is rising. It is really an exciting show. The Mid-Autumn celebration is an opportunity for members of the family to visit together and share together everything in their year. The young generation express their gratitude to the old generation. The parents show their love for their children. Because the autumn is the time of the beginning of the new school year, so the adults and parents give gifts to the children. And the teenagers receive a lot of presents with many good luck wishes before the hard school time. The symbol PhD which is made from paper represents good wishes for success to pupils. For others, because the traditional time to have this festival is usually after harvesting the crops, it is as the congratulation for the full harvest. Nowadays, although some of the traditional toys have been replaced by modern toys, the meaning and the performance has been kept and developed. It is certain that the Mid-Autumn day is important and famous for Vietnamese people. Everyone wants to join in it. And it really is a good example of the traditional culture of the Vietnamese.

It's almost impossible to walk a block in Vietnam's major destinations without bumping into a crowd of hungry patrons slurping noodles at a makeshift pho stand. This simple staple consisting of a salty broth, fresh rice noodles, a sprinkling of herbs and chicken or beef, features predominately in the local diet -- and understandably so. It's cheap, tasty, and widely available at all hours.

Pho is one of the Vietnamese traditional food. The most delicious and typical brand of Pho in Vietnam is Ha Noi Pho with wonderful flavor. Pho is made from rice noodles, beef or chicken and other spices. Pho is a noodle soup; therefore, it’s better when being added with beansprout. Eating Pho with family not only reflects Vietnamese tradition but also creates cozy atmosphere. At weekends, my friends and I usually go to a cafeteria to enjoy Pho because Pho is served at many restaurants in Vietnam. There are two main kind of Pho: noodle soup with beef and sliced chicken, both of them are delicious and high nutrients. Pho is favorite food of almost Vietnamese and often served as breakfast. Moreover, Pho is popular in international market for its pleasant taste and reasonable price. Foreign tourists visit Vietnam and they really like the taste of Pho here. I am very proud of it. In near future, I hope Pho will be more famous in other countries so that foreigners can enjoy this cuisine and understand about Vietnamese culture.

Bougainvillea is an indispensable part of Tet holiday, especially in Hue - the capital of the last feudal regime in our country. Thanh Tien confetti village in Phu Mau commune, Phu Vang district, Thua Thien Hue province was born nearly 400 years ago under the Nguyen Lords. But it wasn't until 1802 that everyone became known.

There is a super famous comic book series that I am sure most of people in all over the world know, and it is Doraemon. It started as a simple series for children which took a small part in the magazine. However, it had surprisingly created a big wave which even reached out to the whole world. The story is about a robot cat from the future who has to come back to the past to help a small boy to fix his miserable life. That boy is Nobita – a slow and clumsy boy. Together they been through a lot of interesting things in the daily life as well as thrilling adventures. Doraemon has a small pocket on his belly, but actually it is a magic pocket which can contain countless of things. That is where he stores all of his gadgets from the future, and they help Nobita to overcome the difficulties in his life. Besides the two main characters, Nobita has other friends such as Shizuka, Takeshi, Suneo, Doremi, Dekisugi and many more. Shizuka is Nobita’s crush, and lately she becomes his wife. Takeshi – or also known as Jaian – is the one who always bully Nobita for his silliness, but sometimes he also stands out to protect his friends and family. Suneo is a rich kid, and he is the best assistant of Jaian when bullying Nobita. They fight a lot, but they are kids after all. The comic is not just only a form of entertainment, but it also has many valuable lessons about life. We can learn how to treasure friendship, protect the environment, and stay away from bad things after reading it. Doraemon is my favorite book, and I think there are a lot of people out there also love it like me.

Currently most of the people prefer fast foods and foods cooked in microwave oven instead of preparing and cooking homemade foods that takes longer. The trend of having food quickly has advantages and disadvantages either.

In my opinion, the only benefit of eating fast foods and foods cooked in microwave oven is to provide to save time. There are many people who live in rush and have loads to do. In this case, it’s hard to find time to cook a meal. Therefore fast foods and foods cooked in microwave oven emerge as a solution for those people. But there are many drawbacks of fast foods that outweigh this advantage. Since fast food restaruants became widespread, people do not eat balanced and nutrious. That causes serious health problems later.Especially for children, to eat balanced, healthy and nutrious is essential for proper growth. To eat so much fast foods in childhood might cause perminent growth disorders that might affect on children’s psychology as well. Rates of obesity increases inevitably just as proliferation of eating fast foods. Obesity is not just to be overweight. It results significant health problems. In some countries, obesity rates are so high that the governments of that countries must take measures instantly to prevent this increase. Also the belief that microwave ovens trigger cancer is an noteworthy one, and one that i believe in. There is the same thought about fast foods too.

All things considered, we can conclude that to eat fast foods and foods cooked microwave ovens is to play with our healths for the sake of saving a little time. When we lose our health, neither money, nor time can get it back.

The happiest day of my life our tour to Ooty. We went on a trip to the beautiful hill station last month. It was a nice family trip where we enjoyed a lot. The trip started on a breezy Sunday morning. We hired a van from our home and my uncle’s family accompanied us.
We boarded a lodge at 10 ‘o clock in the morning and the weather so cold that we were freezing like a statue. After getting ready with all our jackets over us we went to the Thunder world which was a very different theme zone I have ever seen. The botanical garden and rose garden were so amazing. It was a great scene to see so many flowers altogether. They all looked as if they were smiling at us.
The next day we visited Pykara and the boating experience there was indeed not equivalent to words. The same afternoon we went to Mudhumalai forests and saw wildlife face to face. The trip was so wonderful that it cannot be explained simply in words. The trip to Ooty was definitely one of the most memorable ones in my life
