Being a summer volunteer is one of the good things we can do in our student time. Instead of wasting our time playing games or wandering with our friends, we can join the Blue Summer campaign at schools. By doing so, we can become young volunteers to help people who are in need. I always remember last summer when our volunteer team had been to a poor countryside. That place even lacked of clean water and electricity, while in many other places people are wasting them. After a day of resting, we started to clean up the old school together, attended in the project of reconstructing a number of local bridges which funded by donors. We lived in some of the houses of the local people, and we spent time doing house chores, playing, and eating together. Although their lives are lacking of materials, their hearts are full of love and kindness. We helped them with our strength and the ebullient spirit of youth, and in return they took care of us so we could be safe and happy while we were away from home. After a month and a half, we successfully restored an old school and one bridge, and we built one more small new bridge. These things really helped children at that place had a better educational environment, and people had an easier road to go to work. Local people were very excited with those new constructions, and we promised to come back next summer to bring better things. When the volunteer trip ended, my parents were very happy when I came back home safely. I felt so proud of myself because I could prove that I was a mature person by helping other people. Summer is coming soon, and I cannot wait to be on my next volunteer trip together with my friends.

Trong nước cam có chứa nhiều vitamin C có thể giúp giảm huyết áp, các chất dinh dưỡng có trong nước cam còn có tác dụng như một chất lợi tiểu, khiến thận bài tiết nhiều muối và nước ra khỏi cơ thể giúp tăng cường đề kháng, chống mệt mỏi. Tuy nhiên, uống nước cam ép không thôi thì chưa đủ để giảm huyết áp mà phải kết hợp với các phương pháp điều trị khác sẽ có hiệu quả hơn.
Ngoài ra, nước cam giúp tăng cường thể lực giải nhiệt, thỏa cơn khát cho người có cường độ vận động cao, tăng cường hệ tiêu hóa và hệ miễn dịch của cơ thể, tẩy trang, làm sạch da, phòng, chống ung thư. Những người ăn nhiều cam, quýt có tỉ lệ nhiễm các bệnh ung thư như: ung thư phổi và dạ dày… rất thấp. Bác sỹ Nguyễn Thị Hằng cũng cho biết thêm: Đối với những người bị viêm loét dạ dày, tá tràng, hay viêm tuyến tụy thì không nên uống nước cam, vì trong nước cam có chứa rất nhiều chất hữu cơ làm tăng acid trong dạ dày, gây ra chứng ợ nóng khiến cho chứng viêm loét nặng thêm và nước cam có tác dụng nhuận tràng nên nếu bạn bị tiêu chảy thì nên pha loãng chúng với nước và uống từng chút một thôi.
Mỗi ngày 1 ly nước cam sẽ cho công dụng kỳ diệu, và nước cam tốt nhất nên uống vào lúc không no, không đói tức sau khi ăn 1-2 giờ. Ngoài ra không nên cất giữ nước cam trong thời gian dài vì nước cam để lâu sẽ bị mất hết giá trị dinh dưỡng, đặc biệt là vitamin C.
Không nên uống nước cam vào buổi tối, do nước cam có tác dụng sinh tân dịch và lợi tiểu, dễ gây đi tiểu đêm làm mất ngủ.

Lưu ý khi chọn cam
Khi mua cam cần lựa chọn những quả cam có da bóng, cầm nặng tay, đó là những quả cam ngon. Ngoài ra cần chú ý thêm, phần vỏ cam, phía xung quanh cuống phải dày và cao trong khi chính giữa núm lõm hơn so với xung quanh.
Chú ý thêm, cam chín tự nhiên sẽ hơi vàng ở phần đáy, còn nếu chín đều ở các phần là cam chín do giấm.
Các đặc điểm khác như: cam nhẹ là quả ít nước, xốp, khô. Không nên chọn cam màu vàng tươi, đã rụng cuống vì đó là biểu hiện của chín ép, sâu hại, ong chích... Cam ngon phải là quả có màu vàng mỡ gà, chiếm ít nhất 1/3 quả, da bóng láng, có đốm mờ, vỏ mỏng.
Không chọn quả cam sành quá to, da sần sùi, vàng chóe một bên - quả bị rám nắng, nên vỏ dày, sượng khô, ít nước, không ngọt.
Ngoài ra, trước khi ép nên cho cam vào lò viba, đặt chế độ micro trong 30 giây, để nước cam không bị đắng vì đã làm bay hơi bớt tinh dầu trong vỏ cam, trái cam cũng mềm hơn từ bên trong.

- Lăn quả cam cho mềm
- Rửa sạch cam
- Cắt đôi rồi dùng dụng cụ vắt cam vắt nhẹ tay, vắt đến khi cam ra hết nước
- Đổ nước cam vào ly, pha thêm đường, trang trí thêm cho đẹp và thưởng thức
