Leicester Quare is the cinema centre of London. It is claimed that the Square has the cinema with the largest screen and the cinema with the most seats (over 1600).
The most famous cinema, the Odeon, is on the east side of the square. The Odeon had the first digital projector in Europe (1999), and is the largest single –screen cinema in the United Kingdom.
