Đáp án: B

There are many rivers and streams here thanks to the high average rainfall in this area.

Tạm dịch: Có thể nhìn thấy nhiều sông và thác nước ở đây do vườn quốc gia nằm trong khu vực có lượng mưa trung bình lớn.

Thông tin: The park is in an area with a high average rainfall; however, few rivers and streams can be seen here because the water is absorbed inside the limestone mountains. (Vườn quốc gia nằm trong khu vực có lượng mưa trung bình lớn; tuy nhiên; không có nhiều sông và thác nước ở đây vì nước mưa đã bị ngấm vào các núi đá vôi.)

With millions of jobs set to be replaced by changes in technology, we may not be able to stop the rise of robots and automation. The robots are coming. We can see the enormous strides that technology makes each year and the jobs taken over by automation. Yes, believe or not, there really are robots performing surgeries on humans. Robot – assisted surgery can give surgeons more precise control over their instruments and an improved view of what are they doing.

Computer systems are becoming incredibly good at performing multi – faceted tasks. Take autonomous cars which can be classified as robotic vehicles. Driving would fit all the criteria for a complicated task that only humans should be able to perform, yet we have autonomous cars increasingly racking up the miles collision free. In the game – playing arena, we are seeing machines beat the previously unbeatable professional players and generally encroaching on skills that once belonged to humans alone. All these technologies eventually can be integrated into robots. Are we close to the tipping point where humans become redundant in many sectors?

According to a recent survey, four million jobs in the British private sector could be replaced by robots in the next decade. That would impact on 15 percent of the current workforce and would have much the same impact in Ireland. Of course, new opportunities will come along, particularly ones which require strong cognitive and social skills, but this really means that people will have to become more human.

1. We cannot put a stop on technology innovation.

2. Robotic systems can help surgeons increase precision.

3. Computer systems are only capable of carrying out multiple simple tasks.

4. Driving task is so complex that it can’t be performed by an autonomous vehicle.

5. Self – driving cars can travel miles without accident.

6. People in many sectors have lost their jobs because of automation.

7. In the next ten years, robots could take over four million jobs in the British private sector.

8. In the future, people will just do the jobs that require strong cognitive and social skills.

Read the passage and complete the tasks that follow. The Pyramids of Giza Egypt has more than one hundred pyramids that are scattered around the country. Those pyramids were built of sandstone brick and as royal tombs for the Egyptian rulers. The three most famous pyramids in Egypt are the pyramids of Giza. They were named the great pyramid of Khufu, the pyramid of Khafre and the pyramid of Menkaure. These pyramids were located on the outskirts of Cairo, which is about eight kilometers from the old city of Giza. Each of the three pyramids has its own features. The pyramid of Khufu, known as the Great Pyramid of Giza, is one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It is considered the oldest and the only ancient wonder that has survived until the present. Egyptologists believe that the pyramid was built over a period of 20 years as a tomb for Pharaoh Khufu, the fourth dynasty Egyptian pharaoh. Nearby, the pyramid of Khufu’s son named the pyramid of Khafre, was built on higher ground. Thus, to the naked eye, it appears to be the tallest of the three pyramids, but in reality, the pyramid of Khufu is the tallest and also the largest Egyptian pyramid ever built. The pyramid of Menkaure, the pyramid of Khafre’s son, is the third pyramid at the Giza cemetery. It has three smaller pyramids which are next to this main st

IV. Read the following passage and then decide whether the sentences are true or false according to the passage

Our planet Earth is one of nine planets revolving around the sun, a fairly small and ordinary star, which lies in the outer areas of the Milky Way Galaxy. There are about 250 billion stars in our galaxy, and billions of galaxy in universe. People have always wondered about the possibility of intelligent life forms on other planets. In recent years, this has become serious scientific speculation. Some scientists believe that there must be large numbers of stars with planets which could support living intelligent beings. Perhaps we shall never know. The nearest star is 4.3 light years away. A light year is the distance covered by light (travelling al almost 300,000 kilometers a second), in one year. It would take the fastest Earth spacecraft about 40,000 years to reach the nearest star. For a number of years radio telescopes have been trying to pick up signals from outer space, so far without success. There are, however, millions of possible radio frequencies, and there is no reason why a completely alien civilization should not use a different type of communication, such as X-rays or even a type of wave we have not yet discovered. Suppose contacts were made with beings 300 light years away. By the lime we had sent our reply, and received their response the earth would be 600 years older. It would be an interesting, but rather slow moving conversation!

1. Nine planets but the Earth move around the sun.

2. Scientists doubt if there is intelligent life on other planets.

3. It wouldn’t be possible for the very person who sent a message to even the nearest star to receive a reply from it.

4. The universe is immense.

5. We still haven’t received any signals from outer space.
