I consider the earth quake in 2011 was the most horrible and frightful in my life. A magnitude 5.5 earthquake centered off southern Vietnam in November 2001, killed one person after a plank loosened by the shaking fell on his head. Many houses were damaged, and several people were injured as they tried to escape from their homes, including some who jumped from balconies.Luckily, none of deaths. Some schools and office buildings damaged by the quake were closed for inspection. Dien Bien Phu was the site of a key victory by Vietnamese forces against French colonialist forces in 1954. After the quake, many residents of the town stayed on the streets all night and did not dare to go back into their houses until morning,People in the whole town could not sleep for fear of another quake. Earthquakes occur infrequently in VietnamThe quake was the worst to hit Vietnam in a decade. Damage from Vietnam earthquake estimated at $13 million.

Five natural disasters are Avalanches and landslides,Earthquakes,Sinkholes,Volcanic eruptions and Duststorms

I think Volcanic eruptions is the most destructive because Volcanoes can cause widespread destruction and consequent disaster in several ways. One hazard is the volcanic eruption itself, with the force of the explosion and falling rocks able to cause harm. Lava may also be released during the eruption of a volcano; as it leaves the volcano, it can destroy buildings, plants and animals due to its extreme heat. In addition, volcanic ash may form a cloud (generally after cooling) and settle thickly in nearby locations. When mixed with water, this forms a concrete-like material. In sufficient quantities, ash may cause roofs to collapse under its weight. Even small quantities will harm humans if inhaled — it has the consistency of ground glass and therefore causes laceration to the throat and lungs. Volcanic ash can also cause abrasion damage to moving machinery such as engines. The main killer of humans in the immediate surroundings of a volcanic eruption is pyroclastic flows, consisting of a cloud of hot ash which builds up in the air above the volcano and rushes down the slopes when the eruption no longer supports the lifting of the gases. It is believed that Pompeii was destroyed by a pyroclastic flow. A lahar is a volcanic mudflow or landslide. The 1953 Tangiwai disaster was caused by a lahar, as was the 1985 Armero tragedy in which the town of Armero was buried and an estimated 23,000 people were killed

Floods are also one of the major and most dangerous types of natural disaster in Vietnam, constituting 37 percent of all disasters. The flood season in each region varies according the rainfall pattern. The flood season in the Red River and Thai Binh River system normally occurs from May to September, earlier than in other regions. The flood season on the rivers from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh is from June to October every year. On the rivers from Quang Binh to Binh Thuan, the flood season is from...

Flash floods and mudflow often occur in mountainous areas where steep slopes and high rainfall combine with inadequate drainage systems. Flash floods can also occur due to rupture of small reservoirs. Flash flood has occurred and is likely to occur across 33 mountainous provinces in the country in four regions: the northern mountains, central, central highlands and southeast. Flash floods are also more likely to occur as climate change continues.
