1) -16 + 23 + x = - 16

7+x=-16

    x=-16-7

    x=-23
2) 2x – 35 = 15

2x=15+35

2x=50

  x=50:2

  x=25
3) 3x + 17 = 12

3x=12-17

3x=-5

  x=-5/3
4) (2x – 5) + 17 = 6

2x-5=6-17

2x-5=-11

2x=-11+5

2x=-6

  x=-6:2

  x=-3
5) 10 – 2(4 – 3x) = -4

2(4-3x)=10-(-4)
