Summer vacations are the best time to relax and enjoy with family and friends, it’s the time I eagerly waited for every year. This year’s summer vacation is so special to me because it was the first time I’ve been on a trip with my colleagues. We had a wonderful time in Vung Tau – the city which has most beatiful beaches in Vietnam.
We stayed there for 2 days at a small but convenient hostel. First day, we got up early to see the sunrise on the beach. It’s the most gorgeous thing I’ve ever seen. Then we swam and lay down on the sand to enjoy beautiful sunlight and the clear blue sky. We also enjoyed delicious seafood and drank fresh coconuts.
The next day, it took us about 30 minutes to hike up the Small Mountain to visit the Lighthouse. But it was really worth the try! The lighthouse affords a panoramic magnificent view of the whole of Vung Tau and is a really interesting site. On top of Small Mountain, there is the enormous 28m figure of Jesus gazing across the East Sea. This is the largest sculpture in the Southern Vietnam. The two shoulders of the figure are balconies, each able to accommodate up to six people, which offer a splendid view of the surrounding landscape.
The weather during the time we stayed was really good and the local people were friendly. We took many photographs to save our memorable vacation and bought a lot of souvenirs, too. I just had so many good memories of that whole trip. Everything was great, but what made the trip even greater was the fact that I was able to bulid a stronger relationships with my colleagues.

Trong cuộc sống, ai cũng cần có những người bạn, đó là người bạn đồng hành, cũng là người tiếp cho ta những đông lực sống, động lực phấn đấu mỗi khi ta yếu đuối, gục ngã. Bạn bè là điều kì diệu tự nhiên nhất trong cuộc sống của con người, có được những người bạn là điều may mắn. Tìm được những người bạn hiểu mình thì đó là một điều diệu kì, đáng được trân trọng. Em cũng may mắn tìm được cho một người bạn thân thiết, người mà em có thể yên tâm dãi bày, sẻ chia mỗi khi có chuyện buồn trong học tập hay trong cuộc sống, người em có thể dựa vào khi em chán nản, gục ngã.
Người bạn mà em muốn nói đến, đó chính là Phương Anh- người bạn thân thiết nhất của em trong suốt những năm học cấp một cũng như cấp hai. Em và Phương Anh quen nhau khi vừa là những học sinh ngơ ngác bước chân vào lớp một. Em vẫn còn nhớ rất rõ lần gặp mặt đầu tiên ấy, đó là vào ngày khai giảng đầu tiên của đời học sinh, chúng em lúc ấy còn là những cô cậu học trò nhỏ rụt rè, tò mò về môi trường học tập mới nhưng cũng lo lắng, sợ hãi với những thứ quá sức mới lạ.
Em và Phương Anh được cô giáo chủ nhiệm xếp ngồi cùng một bàn học, chúng em lúc ấy chưa hề quen biết nhau nên cả hai đều khá ngượng ngùng, rất khó mở lời làm quen. Nhưng có vẻ Phương Anh là người nhút nhát hơn em, nên em đã mở lời làm quen trước:
“ Chào cậu, tớ tên là Hương Quỳnh, cậu tên là gì thế?” Lúc ấy có lẽ vì bất ngờ nên khuôn mặt nhỏ nhắn của Phương Anh đỏ bừng lên, bạn quay ra nhìn em ấp úng nói vô cùng dễ thương:
“Tớ tên là Phương Anh…cậu” Có vẻ Phương Anh muốn nói gì thêm nữa nhưng vì ngượng ngùng nên mãi không thốt thành câu. Em bèn chủ động nói trước:
“Tên của cậu hay thật, chúng mình làm bạn được không?” Phương Anh lúc ấy đã cười rất vui vẻ, nụ cười của Phương Anh rạng rỡ như thiên thần vậy, bạn đã hết ngượng ngập mà vội vàng gật đầu vô cùng dễ thương.
Từ ấy em và Phương Anh trở thành những người bạn thân, chúng em cùng giúp đỡ nhau trong học tập cũng như sinh hoạt trong trường, dù có bất cứ những khó khăn cũng như những niềm vui gì trong học tập thì chúng em cũng đều chia sẻ cho nhau. Những câu chuyện dù không đầu không đuôi nhưng mỗi khi người kia kể thì người còn lại sẽ chú tâm lắng nghe, có lẽ sau những lần tâm sự như vậy, chúng em trở nên thân thiết hơn, thấu hiểu nhau hơn, đôi khi chỉ cần một ánh mắt thôi thì chúng em đã có thể hiểu đối phương muốn nói gì.
Phương Anh là một người hiền lành, nhân hậu, chúng em tuy là những người bạn thân thiết, nhưng không phải vì vậy mà chúng em có thể hiểu nhau hoàn toàn, có những lúc chúng em bất đồng ý kiến, có những cãi vã, giận hờn. Em cảm thấy có lỗi bởi mỗi lần cãi vã rồi giận dỗi như vậy thì người chủ động giảng hòa luôn là Phương Anh. Chúng em giận nhưng không được bao lâu thì cả hai đều được giải tỏa nhưng để mở miệng nói lời xin lỗi trước thì không phải ai cũng có thể, đây cũng là điều em rất ngưỡng mộ ở Phương Anh, bạn luôn vì người khác, chủ động giảng hòa mặc dù bạn không hề sai, cũng không kể đến sự nhút nhát của mình.
Em cảm thấy thật may mắn khi có một người bạn như Phương Anh, đó là một người bạn tuyệt vời, người mà em tuyệt đối tin tưởng khi sẻ chia những niềm vui nỗi buồn trong cuộc sống, người luôn ở bên tiếp cho em nguồn động lực để em vượt qua mọi khó khăn, gian khổ. Thế mới có thể thấy được tình bạn thật thiêng liêng biết bao, tình bạn có thể tạo ra sức mạnh, tạo nên những kì tích cho con người. Có những câu thơ mà em rất ấn tượng về tình bạn như:
“Tình bạn là lá là hoa
Tình bạn là cả bài ca trên đời
Tình bạn trongg sáng tuyệt vời
Đẹp hơn tất cả bầu trời ban đêm”

What does a dream mean if taken on a scale of people’s life? Apparently, it means a lot; because people are used to hold on to their dreams, to protect them from the infringements of the other people, to strongly believe that without dreams their life will be ordinary and senseless.
Those people, who do not have any cherished dreams, even though they will never be able to make it come true, seem to be deprived of something special, just those people, who lack a sense of humor. The thing is, our ability to dream plays an important role in our life: it helps us, gives moral support, helps to believe in ourselves and to go through the difficulties and offences.
As for me, I’ve always dreamt about the voyage around the world and many times before going to bed I have imagined myself on a huge cruise vessel full of large luxurious boutiques, night clubs and other entertainments. Just imagine marvelous sunset and tranquil ocean; you are sitting in the Jacuzzi with a glass of champagne and admiring the scenery! Although I realize that I am still far from my dream, I’m working hard to make it come true!
Every person has the right to dream, though these dreams may be absolutely illusive, because there is nothing plain and simple in this world and the life will be bright, multi-colored and vivid only when we let us believe in it and see how changeable

Dear Editor,
I am a student in New York City. I am writting a program called the Urban Angles. The Urban Angles help teen avoid problem with drugs, crime and gangs. They want teen to stay in school. The Urban Angles have a lot of activities after school and on the weekends. In addition, the Urban Angles help the community. Teen can take classes with social issues. They can learn how to take care of themselves to stop the problem of community. Final, the Urban Angles help their city. For example, they paint graffiti in the neighbourhood. At the "park clean-ups", they go to the city parks and make it beautiful again. For all of these reasons, I think that people should support for the Urban Angles Program.

The name of my best friend is Jyoti. She is my good friend and cares for me a lot. She behaves me well and helps always. I met her in class 6 and became best friend. She is my true friend because she understands me very well and cares for my every need. I her very much. I never had any friend her ever before. She comes to my home and I too go to her home. Our parents respects us very much and our friendship. She is so precious for me and I never want to lose her. Whenever I get absent in the classroom, she helps me in doing all the left home works and class works.
She is much similar to me in many aspects. She never argues me and describes me well anything which I get stuck. She is an open minded girl and never feels bad for my misbehave. She is very entertaining in nature and makes me laugh through her interesting jokes and talks in the spare time. She is very cute and attractive, attracts everyone through her smile and nice way of talk. She promotes me always to do better in the classroom and exams. We are good in sports and academic activities. She takes my opinions in her every tough work to do in the right way. We manage to share things in our difficult times. We always perform better in the class tests and main exams.

The person that I trust the most is my best friend, Nha. She is 18 years old. She is also my English private tutor who has been teaching me for 3 years.
She is very pretty with a lovely round face and beautiful dark brown eyes. Although she is not so tall, her black hair is very long and silky. Her favorite clothes are jeans, T-shirts and sneakers for their comfort. At first, she appeared serious but later she showed her humorous side. She always makes me laugh all the times when we see each other. She is not only good at English but she also plays piano exceptionally well. She can even compose songs. Furthermore, conscientiousness is the most beautiful personality of her. She makes people feel pleasant in her caring and understanding quality.
She is both well-qualified teacher and a precious friend to me. I hope our relationship can last long and remain stable.
I have a lot of friends but my best friend is Anh. She is one of the classmates. We have known each other since we were 6 years old. She has a short black hair and it is straight. Her lips is small but it's very beautiful. Her eyes is very affectionately. She is tall and thin. She is very kind and and generous. She spends her free time doing volunteer work at a local orphanage but she is a hard working student who always gets good grades. Un me, she s sports very much. She plays badminton very good. I am very pleased to have such a kind and understanding friend here. I wish our friendship will last forever.
