It was a Friday afternoon, and I was helping my mother doing some house chores. When I was hanging clothes on the balcony, some of them were blown to the roof of my house. So I decided to use a long pipe to take them back. However, they were too far! I kept trying but it didn’t work. And suddenly, I slipped and fell down to the terrace. I felt hurt all over my body. I couldn’t even breathe. I remember there were a lot of dust on my body, and there were broken woods and plywoods everywhere. Right away, my family ran to me. They helped me to get up, they were totally shocked. My parents quickly took me to the hospital. Fortunately, I wasn’t on seriously injured. There were some wounds on my head, arms and legs. After that accident, I try to be more careful when doing anything, and always feel for the actors in action movies. To me, nothing is more precious than life.

Positive peer pressure is when your friends encourage you to do something that benefits you or others, or when you inspire each other to achieve common goals. Some examples of positive peer pressure are:

- Encouraging your friend to exercise regularly and join you in a fitness class.
- Supporting your friend who wants to quit smoking or drinking and avoiding situations where they might be tempted.
- Volunteering with your friends for a local charity or community project.
- Studying together and helping each other to understand difficult concepts or prepare for exams.
- Standing up to bullying or discrimination together and promoting a culture of respect and inclusion.
- Expressing your creativity and sharing your talents with each other, such as writing, singing, or drawing.
Positive peer pressure can build trust, self-esteem, and social skills, and foster a sense of belonging and purpose. It can also contribute to a healthier and more positive school or community culture.

Khoa is a 16-year-old high school student who loves spending time with his group of friends after school. They usually go to the mall, play sports or video games, or just hang out at each other's houses. However, Khoa's parents are becoming increasingly concerned about his friends' behavior and influence on him. They've noticed that Khoa is staying out later than usual, neglecting his school work, and acting more rebellious and disrespectful at home.

Khoa's parents have tried to talk to him about their concerns and suggest that he spend less time with his friends or choose better friends, but Khoa resists their efforts. He argues that his friends are cool and fun to be with, and that his parents are just being overprotective and boring.

The situation becomes more tense when Khoa's parents find out that some of his friends have been caught smoking and shoplifting. They forbid Khoa from hanging out with them and threaten to punish him if he disobeys. Khoa feels torn between his loyalty to his friends and his respect for his parents' authority.

In this scenario, Khoa and his parents are facing a common problem of conflicting values and priorities. Khoa wants to belong to his peer group and have fun, while his parents want to protect him from negative influences and ensure his future success. It's not easy for either side to compromise or understand each other's perspective, but communication and empathy can help bridge the gap.

Volunteering during long holidays has been suggested as a better option than working for money. In this essay, I will examine the advantages and disadvantages of both approaches.

One of the main advantages of volunteering during long holidays is the opportunity to gain valuable experience and skills that can be beneficial for future career prospects. Furthermore, volunteering can help individuals to make meaningful connections and build a strong network, which can open doors to future opportunities.

On the other hand, there are also valid reasons why students may choose to work for money during long holidays. Firstly, paid work provides a source of income that can be used to pay for educational expenses or personal needs. But can unpaid work provide the same level of financial support? Secondly, paid work can help students to develop important skills such as time management, responsibility and teamwork, which can be transferable to their future careers.

In conclusion, while both volunteering and paid work have their advantages and disadvantages, I believe that students should consider a balance between the two. By combining volunteering and paid work, students can gain valuable experience, develop important skills and earn some money to support their education and personal needs.
