Tet is a national and family festival. It is an occasion for every Vietnamese to have a good time while thinking about the last year and the next year. At Tet, spring fairs are organized, streets and public buildings are brightly decorated and almost all shops are crowded with people shopping for Tet. At home, every is tidied, special food is cooked, offerings of food, fresh water, flowers and betel are made on the family altar with burning joss- sticks scenting the air. First-footing is made when the lucky visitor comes and children are given lucky money wrapped in a red tiny envelope. Tet is also a time for peace and love. During Tet, children often behave well and friends, relatives and neighbors give each other best wishes for the new year.

Tết là ngày hội của dân tộc và gia đình. Đây là dịp để mọi người Việt Nam có khoảng thời gian vui vẻ khi nghĩ về năm vừa qua và năm sau. Vào dịp Tết, các hội chợ xuân được tổ chức, đường phố và các công trình công cộng được trang hoàng rực rỡ và hầu như tất cả các cửa hàng đều tấp nập người mua sắm Tết. Trong nhà, mọi thứ đều được dọn dẹp gọn gàng, thức ăn đặc biệt được nấu chín, đồ ăn, nước ngọt, hoa và trầu được bày trên bàn thờ gia tiên với những đốt nhang thơm ngào ngạt. Bước đầu tiên được thực hiện khi khách đến thăm may mắn và trẻ em được lì xì trong một phong bì nhỏ màu đỏ. Tết cũng là khoảng thời gian dành cho hòa bình và yêu thương. Trong ngày Tết, trẻ em thường cư xử tốt và bạn bè, họ hàng, làng xóm dành cho nhau những lời chúc tốt đẹp nhất cho năm mới.

I have so many friends, but my best friend is Lan. Her birthday is october 22. we used to be classmates in the secondary shool. she iss a pretty girl, she is tallish with long black hair and clear black eyes. Her face is roung looks very sprightly. We have been friends because we nearly have the same personality and qualities. she likes go shopping, traveling, playing game and animals. We are always helpful to each other when having difficulities. in addition there is completely mutural trust between us, so we are always tell each other the most intimate secrets. Another thing is that she has a sense of humous, she always cheerful and often tell fun stories. It makes me want to be her all the time. Lan is very polite to older people, generous and helpful with her friends, that is what is like best about her. although now she had to go to work, we are still contact with each other and forever two best friends.

Thien Mu Pagoda is located on a hill of Ha Khe on the bank of Huong River, about 5km from Hue city center. According to the legend, when Lord Nguyen Hoang walked along the banks of the Huong River, examining the terrain here to prepare a great fortune, building a village overlooking Ha Khe hill with a dragon-shaped earth turned and looked back. to build a temple on the hill towards the Huong river and named it "Thien Mu". In the year of Tan Suu 1601, Thien Mu pagoda was officially started construction under the reign of Tien - Nguyen Hoang, in the period of 1691 - 1725, the pagoda was built on a larger scale and restored with many massive architectural works such as: Dai Hung Palace. , the Theory house, the Tang Kinh floor, ... there are many works that cannot be kept to this day. In 1844, the pagoda was reconstructed with Phuoc Duyen octagonal tower and Huong Nguyen communal house. The historic storm in 1904 destroyed the pagoda with many damaged works until 1907 to be rebuilt but not as before. Through many phases of architecture and restoration, today the pagoda still retains many large-scale and massive works and many valuable antiques such as Buddha statues, non-parallax panels. Phuoc Duyen Tower becomes the symbol of Thien Mu Pagoda, the 21m high tower consists of 7 floors, each floor has a Buddha statue. The Tang Kinh floor is home to 1000 sets of Buddhist scriptures that the Lord gave people to China to buy. The temple grounds are quite large, clear and airy with flower gardens, rockery, a series of stone steles inscribed on the history of the construction of the pagoda and poems of the king, especially the poem "Thien Mu common. bar "composed by King Thieu Tri is placed at the gate of the pagoda. About 2 weeks ago,Thuy and I enjoyed Huy's birthday party.It started at 8:00 pm.We had a great time together with Huy and his friends.We met new friends,sang,ate birthday cake and lots of sweets and fruits,play a lots of awesome games(sorry i just can listing,if you don like it,you can change this to another sentence and don't write the sentence which is on this parentheses to your paragraph
).When the party ended,he thanked us about coming to his party.It was the best day ever!
Fiona is my neighbor. She turned twelve recently and her parents held a birthday party for her. I was one of those invited.
The party began at about three in the afternoon. There were about twenty of us children gathered in Fiona's house. We were all dressed in our best clothes. Everyone, especially Fiona, wore a happy smile.
We gave our presents to Fiona and she happily opened them. It must really be exciting to receive all those presents.
After that Fiona's mother served us soft drinks and delicious tidbits. We then played some games like "Musical Chairs" and "Treasure Hunt". The winners were given prizes.
At about four-thirty Fiona's mother brought out the birthday cake. It was beautifully decorated with pink and white icing. Twelve colorful candles sat in the middle of the cake. We all sang "Happy Birthday" to Fiona after which she blew out the candles and cut the cake. We clapped out hands eagerly.
We helped ourselves to slices of the delicious cake. Then we continued our games.
Finally at about six in the evening the party came to an end. We were all tired but happy. The parents of the other children came to collect them. I helped Fiona and her mother clean up the mess we made. After that I walked home which was only two doors away.
