Tet is a national and family festival. It is an occasion for every Vietnamese to have a good time while thinking about the last year and the next year. At Tet, spring fairs are organized, streets and public buildings are brightly decorated and almost all shops are crowded with people shopping for Tet. At home, every is tidied, special food is cooked, offerings of food, fresh water, flowers and betel are made on the family altar with burning joss- sks scenting the air. First-footing is made when the lucky visitor comes and children are given lucky money wrapped in a red tiny envelope. Tet is also a time for peace and love. During Tet, children often behave well and friends, relatives and neighbors give each other best wishes for the new year.

Mid_Autumn festival is one of the popular celebrations in the Viet Nam.
Every year,it's on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month. It's organized so that people celebrate the largest full moon in the year.
In that festival, children wear masks, parade on the street have parties with special cakes and lots of fruits.
I feel happy when taking part in it because it makes me exited and helps me remember about my childish.

At my school there are many festival activities, most recently the ceremony on March 26 on the establishment of the union. Now I want to tell you about the festival.
Before the start of the festival, on the school grounds, students and teachers are busy and dressed neatly and neatly. after the start of the ceremony, the first is open and other things. Closing the festival are performances by students and teachers. After that, there are fun activities, in which there are many folk games such as duck catching blinds, slow bicycle exams, piggyback eating, apple blindfolded, etc. The activities are extremely excited by the cheers of the young fans. The festival was short but also left a deep memory in my heart.
I hope that the school's celebrations will leave an impression on students like me.

I am very happy when receiving your letter. If I have a chance and enough money, I will visit Hawaii too. Tet in Vietnam is not as exciting as your trip to Hawaii but it has its own distinctive flavor. Let me tell you about it. Tet is often held between late January and early February. Tet holiday begins with the first day of January in the Lunar Year. Normally, it lasts for 5 days. Vietnamese people usually spend nearly two weeks preparing for this event. One week before Tet, all members in families join in cleaning and decorating their houses with many colorful lines of lights on Peach blossom trees. Three days before Tet, we make Chung cakes. Besides Chung cakes, we also prepare pickled onion, candied fruits and seeds to serve the whole Tet holiday. Specifically, we buy many red envelopes to keep lucky money. There are many activities during Tet holiday. On New Year’s Eve, almost everyone goes out to see fireworks and remembers all the happy moments. On the first day of New Year, we usually go to pagoda first to pray for good things for the coming new year. After that, we have a good meal and then visit our relatives to give them best wishes of happiness, health and success. Adults give children lucky money to wish them good health and successful study. In my opinion, Tet is the most enjoyable holiday in Vietnam with valuable custom and many traditional activities. If you have chance to visit Vietnam on Tet, I am sure that you will like this holiday.
