Trường học ở Mỹ thì hơi khác với trường học ở Việt Nam. Thường thì không có đồng phục học sinh. Giờ học bắt đầu lúc 8 giờ 30 mỗi sáng và ngày học ở trường kết thúc vào lúc 3 giờ 30 hoặc 4 giờ. Không có giờ học vào thứ Bảy.
Học sinh có một giờ để ăn trưa và hai lần giải lao 20 phút mỗi ngày. Một lần giải lao vào buổi sáng, lần kia vào buổi chiều.
