any dùng với câu phủ đinh và câu nghi vấn, nêu any đứng trước danh từ đém được thì nó luôn ở dạng số nhiều ví dụ như : any cars; any friends; any book; ...........
any đứng trước danh từ không đếm được thì danh từ ở dạng số ít như : Is there any water ?
some đứng trước các danh từ để chỉ số lượng nhưng mang tính chất ước lượng, some đứng trước các danh từ đếm được thì có nghĩa là 1 vài, và danh tuwfddeems được đó luôn ở dạng số nhiều như : some biscuit; ...........
some đứng trước các danh từ ko đếm được thì ta hiểu luôn ở dạng số ít : some sugar : 1 ít đường

Some được dùng trong câu khẳng định
Some + N số nhiều: I have some pencils
Some + N không đếm được : She wants to eat some ice-cream
Some of the N (số nhiều): Some of the computers that I have are outdated.
* Lưu ý: Some còn được dùng trong một số câu mời mọc và yêu cầu

Câu khẳng định: S + V(s/es) + (O)
Nếu chủ ngữ là ngôi thứ 3 số ít ( He, She, it) thì thêm s/es sau động từ (V)
