I live in a small village Henfield. There are about 500 people here. The village is quiet and life here is slow and easy. You never have to queue in shops or banks. People never throw their rubbish in the steets, so the village is always clean. The air is also very clean because there's not much heavy traffic.It'smuch more friendly here than in a city. In China, people don't usually eat with knives and forks. Instead we use chopsticks and we sometimes use spoons.
We usualy eat from big serving dishes. We put them in the middle of the table, but we sometimes serve portions of rice in small bolws. In China, we don't think it's rude to reach across the table to take food from serving dishes.
We do think it is rude to take the last piece of food from a serving dish for yourself. We offer it to another person instead. That is very polite.
When your bolw is empty, someone gives you more food. When you are full, you put your hand over your bolw or leave some food in your bolw. We don't put our chopsticks on top of our bolws.
